The first few were a little weird for me because my husband is my high school sweetheart and when I first met him in middle school, I thought he was weird AF. And weve been described a lot by people as a fairytale ending and things like that and no, were not! Theres a reason we met at 13 and married at 30. We grew up together, we grew apart and then came back. Weve seen each other at our worst and best; there are no embarrassing teen photos to pull out because were in them. Ive had a lot of cousins and who stayed in relationships like high school sweethearts or college sweethearts looking up to me and my husband. Not abusive types necessarily, just ones that ran its course. So while I fit some of these, theyre not all theyre cracked out to be.

You know Grease gets a bad wrap because of Sandy's new look but everyone seems to forget that Danny had a new look too. He joined the track team and even got a letter sweater just to impress Sandy and show her he was the same guy that everyone seems to forget that she met at the very beginning of the movie on summer vacation. Let's face it we all act differently when around our High School friends you want to be cool. Danny and Sandy met on vacation not at school she met the real Danny. At school you have peer pressure and wanting to be part of the click of cool kids. He let all that go for her, she got cool for him. I think they are equal.

all those things acually happen in Rl
when my dad fist met my mom. she thought he was a creep( cause he kept folowing her around)
he wanted to date.
she sayd yes so she could tell him she thinks hes a creep in private.
he took her night fishing.
they had glowing floaters.
he pointed at the glowing things on the water.
he then sayd; look it looks like paris by night.
he won her over.
after that they lived happy ever after.
also some women like to be watched,
it turns them on you deem them worthy to look.

Just to get something clear. You don't NEED a makeover to get the guy of your dreams but it's a fact that make up, if done correctly, can enhance your features and make you indeed look more attractive. I'm not talking about those makeup looks that make you unrecognisable, but more about those subtle touches (of makeup or not) that actually make a difference. And it's not necessary of course. You just do what makes you happy, girl. Besides you first have to love yourself to truly love somebody else. Just my opinion

You know what I want a makeover storyline where we're instead of it being about impressing a boy or something it's about a girl learning to express her own particular form of femininity like she discovers that no she doesn't like dresses but nail polish is nice and that maybe she was judging her more feminine piers unfairly.
Also, girl goes back to Hometown remembers why she left, goes back to the city and finds a man who respects her ambition.

Make-overs might be a bad role model-ish but bringing forth your more polished, more beautiful looks truly can change your attractiveness.
That is just the first impression Ofc and the inside will decide the rest but for some a make-over might be their only way to get that far.
Or a drastic change like loosing weight when overweight.
It can also change how the person views themselves which in turn can change their insides.

One they should have included is that love will conquer all even if everything else the couple is not suited to be together. An example of this is Romeo and Juliet. If they had not killed themselves and had in fact been able to run off together, they likely would not have had a happy life after a while. Being cut off from their family fortunes they would have had to live as peasants. Neither of them would have been prepared for that.

The Princess Diaries is a poor example of 'getting a makeover to find love' - Mia didn't get a makeover to find love. She got a makeover at the request of her grandmother to help with her image as the possible future Princess of Genovia. Love didn't enter her life because of the makeover, it entered her life because SHE finally saw the guy that wanted her all along - even when she was, for a lack of a better term, ugly duckling.

One of the worst relationship advice from movies is to never take no for an answer. Noah from the notebook asked the girl out on a date when she was already going out with someone else and he threatened suicide to get the girl to go with him. That doesn't seem romantic in my opinion. That is a red flag you should not ignore. If the person does not respect your boundaries, you should not date them.

Twilight has the worst relationship advice ever. Bella is okay with Edward having urges to kill her and she is too gullible. She should have run when Edward told her his secret instead of saying that she doesn't care. Edward has been abusive to her both physically, verbally and mentally.

In the film Stolen Princess Ruslan who was an actor pretended to be a knight to attain Lyudmila's love. At the end Ruslan confesses that he is not a real knight, but Lyudmila accepts this. She tells him she still loves him no matter what and they share their first kiss.

I can't speak about every case. but the commitment thing worked for me. I was not scared of anything more than commitment before I met my boyfriend. it just somehow fell into place. and four years later things are still as smooth as ever

These aren't universal. Depends on people and everyone is different
Lot of women find bad guy attractive
lot of girls thinks stalking is romantic (especially teenagers)
Your looks DOES matter
Grand gestures works too well

Find your one true love in your grade of 100 or less - ok, my graduating class was 117, but it was a tiny private school. Most people definitely had several hundred in their grades in high school. That was a strange number to use.

To me no. 1 is: once you've fallen in love everything is happy and easy when in reality keeping an relationship fun and romantic is an extremely hard thing to do and needs both partners to work in themselves and the relationship

Grease and Princess Diaries are bad examples for that last one. Danny was already about to devote himself to Sandy BEFORE seeing her make-over, and Michael clearly had a crush on Mia BEFORE she got her princess make-over.

Horror movies, especially the slasher sub-genre, is often accused of being misogynistic. As a horror fan, I think it is unfair. If there is any genre that's misogynistic and skew, it is romantic comedies!

In Ted 2 there was a terrible message that they treat seriously.
They imply that: If a couple is fighting, all they have to do is have a baby and it will be fine.
That's terrible advice!

The worst advice from any romantic movie is that it doesn't matter if the person has been abusive, stay in that relationship and they'll change.
