The door one gets me. It's one thing to think of when you are in nice warm water. However, Jack and Rose had been in and out of the water several times before then and were likely suffering from hypothermia when they found the door, and when suffering from hypothermia the first thing to go is logical thinking, do they easily could have not thought about it (considering it took the mythbusters a while to think about it just adds to that) plus, Rose didn't know how to swim. Good luck convincing her to take off the jacket and tying it under the door.

Translation: Jack is a time traveler meant to ensure the ship would sink. Had Rose gone overboard when she was suicide, the ship would have had to turn around for a rescue thus providing enough time for the iceberg to move out of course by the time Titanic reached it. This film is honestly a cinematic masterpiece. Deserving of every award & more. Even 20+ years after it's premiere, the visuals still hold up. The fanatical attention to detail makes it that much sweeter. I recently re-watched it as an adult, and there are so many things I never picked up on before. All in all, an excellent movie. A timeless classic.

I hate how people are saying Jack and Rose could have both fit on the door. it isn't true! if he got on, it would have fully submerged and that would have defeated the whole purpose. plus a good love story always has someone dying at the end. look at Romeo and Juliet, Titanic, and a whole lot more. Titanic is my FAVORITE MOVIE OF ALL TIME!

Can I please point out the Ik freezing to death in the Atlantic Ocean, you have rudecued brain power and motor skills, it would have been practically impossible to tie a life Jeanette under the door. Your not thinking logically at that point, you are LITTERALLY FREEZING TO DEATH!

All ships are sinkable even it's sister HMHS Britannic did I mean while Titanic sank when white star line found out they put so many new features to Britannic but it still sank so. nothing is unsinkable.

They had 37 seconds to avoid the iceberg after it was sighted. It wasnt 37 seconds long that they hit the iceberg. And in the movie the scene stretches for about 2 minutes. So that wasnt accurate.
