Sort of tangentially related and more speculation than hard facts but:
Fantasy Flight Games publishes a living card game about hackers ('runners') and megacorps called Android: Netrunner, which is set in their own proprietary Android cyberpunk universe, but the game is based on a TCG called, simply, Netrunner, created in the 1990s by Richard Garfield (who also created Magic: The Gathering. Original Netrunner was based in the Cyberpunk universe that 2077 will be based in and FFG were licensing the rights to the Netrunner game from Wizards of the Coast.
However, FFG announced a few days ago that, for a reason they didn't go in to, that the licensing agreement with Wizards would not be renewed when it was up in October, and that the game would be ending.
If you take the announcement, including its timing, combined with the fact that CDPR has a history of releasing card games alongside its video games (Gwent, and the use of the word 'Netrunners' in the trailer video description, it could be that we will see either a digital or physical reboot of the Netrunner TCG to tie in with the release of Cyberpunk 2077, whenever that actually is.

well prior to the trailer during the e3 conference there was a a IP address (212. 91. 11. 20) opening the address in your browser reveals this website the password is shown as the numberplate of the car NC20 CP77 however it doesnt appear to let anyone in yet or if it did it let in a very limited number of people i got to it within the first 10 mins but couldnt get in.

I just hope it's not frist person. I would like to see my character and be able to play in three person. The whole setting is way cool and I believe it will be good either way. I'm just not a big fan of first person shooter's. Great job on all the hidden stuff that you all found. This is way I always watch your videos, you always find stuff that I completely missed.

Hmm. I just thought of something. The pen and paper game takes place in 2020, which in our real world isnt too far off. Could they be aiming for a 2020 release date as some sort of homage? I want it sooner than that, and it has been like 5 years since the first teaser apparently, but for all we know it could even release later.

The Polygon stream had a lot of jokes about post apocalyptic games but honestly it is so so nice to see a game being developed that doesn't have such a bleak outlook on our future. A game with the bravery to say the world might be alive, even if this is an AU world, it's still nice to see.

-Original- Cyberpunk2020? Sorry. The original game was called simply Cyberpunk and it was set in 2013. Still in Night City. Published by R. Talsorian Games in 1988. Yes, I still have my original copy. The guy with the upturned collar still shows up on that black-and-white box art.

I can't overstate how glad I am that it's CD Projekt Red that is making this game, because their writing team is strong enough and bold enough to not shy away from the cyberpunk genre's central narrative of anti-capitalist and anti-fascist action.

been waiting for this game for years now. i hope it wont fail like GTA V did after you finish the short story of the game there is nothing to do than killing each other in the online section -. -'

Major props for this video. you managed to pack so much information in 3 minutes without obnoxious overhead or overly long intros/outros. it is very refreshing so i felt like commenting on it; ) Thumbs up!

In 2018 a single player game its so disappointing, at least now everybody expect coop modes, and another modes of MP.
I love the game aesthetics and cenario, but play alone its not my thing anymore.

There's a moment when I was listening to Simone and her fireside holding the beverage totally popped out to say hi. Also, this game seems pretty cool, will definitely be looking for more about it.

If the game is confirmed for Consoles then we maybe going to have a downgrade version of it and I-m ok with that without having a $1000 pc to play this. I-m looking for content not graphics.

Trauma Team also appears later in the shootout scene - apparently, just as in the original game one of their packages includes armed intervention in addition to medical service: )

You guys forgot about the License plate on the car shown in the trailer, it Leads to website which has been expired only few know what content was in it -
reply

The car's license plate is -NC20 CP77- which I think is referring to night city 20 cyberpunk 2077. Just a small thing I noticed that's not so important

CD Project RED are the only developers I truly believe and adore the most. Instant pre-order from me when it is available!
reply

Oh man, this game is exactly my aesthetic ideal. With CDPR behind the wheel I've got high hopes for a new GOTY
reply

Random fact: This video was released EXACTLY 5 years after the first Cyberpunk 2077 teaser released in 2013
reply

Do we know if we'll have the option to mute the game and use our own voice for all sounds in the game?
reply

I think the -never forget- has to do with a corporate world that results in a tactical nuke exploding.
reply

Anybody else picturing Simone sitting in front of a fire with a glass full of golf balls while recording this?
reply

honestly how ironic would it be if a game about the horrors of capitalism had micro transactions lmao
