I remember being at Gen Con and seeing a giant version of this game being played with the road sticks being three feet long. It stuck in my mind for over five years until I built a giant version for myself at home. Yard parties and BBQs are so much better when the games are giant! So great to see one of my favorite games being played!

I love how
materially simple it is?
it's just like some wooden pegs and ice cream sticks yet it does so much
it really feels like a game someone who's never heard of it before could just accidentally invent again for their own amusement and I really appreciate that

I wasn't feeling the game just based on the description, BUT once you all started putting pieces down, it started feeling like a mixture of Jenga, Pick-Up Sticks, and lining up Domino pieces-- I had my knuckles at my mouth in nervousness!

This was so much fun to watch, but good GOD would I never be able to play it myself. Might have to introduce it to my (large, loud, Italian American) family for the annual Thanksgiving table top game playing though.

The only thing more chaotic than this game alone is watching it with the playback speed turned up even the slightest bit. I know it-s not really that fast but it feels like they are loving way too fast

I think you made a rules mistake. As I understand it, you're only supposed to give columns for every column, road or car knocked. You don't give roads.
