I am transported back to the 70's (1971' Baby Here) and these song just touch my heart more than you know.
These songs are the soundtrack of my Childhood
Im brought back to my childhood and even though I was in my single digits (I sang along with these songs and shaped me as a musician to this day)
If I listen too much more of these songs i think Im going to be brought to tears. . Too late
I miss the innocence of those times.

Isn't it amazing how something so simple as a song can cast you back perhaps 40 years to a night with girl who's now probably a grandmother. The only other thing that can do that for me is scent- the smell of a perfume or whatever. Who remembers the ' slow sets' when the music slowed down and our hearts beat quicker. Happy days!

I was teen in the 60s and loved that music, married in 65, and I found the 70s to have some cool love songs as my hubby and I really started our life. have to admit I remember these songs playing as we made passionate love! 57 years later still lovers, and yes the music still moves me!

This was a great list of songs you put together. Some of them are some of the greatest songs ever recorded. I would like to add though Lost in Love by Air Supply that was released in 1979 and Magnet and Steel that came out in 1978.

i love em all! the one thing about 70s music is, it actually told a story and some were based on true life plus you knew every word, not like today when you cant even tell what they are saying without lyrics.

First off Wonderful Tonight is not a love song by any means, he’s falling down drunk. Secondly, 3 Bay City Rollers songs And last. Where is You’re The Biggest Part of me by Ambrosia

These songs bring back so many memories--happy ones & bittersweet ones too. Sad how many of of these singers & band members have passed away
But their music lives on

Where’s the way we were, always on my mind, rock and roll lullaby, the rose, can’t smile without you, my love, can’t take my eyes off you, everything I own

Graduated HS in 1970. So much great music, but you missed One Less Bell To Answer by 5th Dimension. Oh how I miss the fun times of youth.

Great video, wonderful playlist, and of course, because it's all one decade, no diminution in quality of the music whatsoever.

Neil Sedaka's Laughter In The Rain sent chills down my spine as a child and still does! Nice voice and instruments in that song.

Wasn't the famous version of Everything I Own by Bread, and not the reggae version listed here I think that may be an error.
reply

As most songs are love songs, a more interesting list would be those that don't have anything to do with love.
