Thank you SRG for an amazing video. Defintely a Golden decade for music and many amazing songs. I was born 1984 and don't remember any of the 1980s, but appreciate the music and style of that era. 'Careless Whisper' amazing. 'West End Girls' a true classic and the eerie synth adds an element of mystery to it. I like Samantha Fox's music. Might not be the best vocalist, but very catchy songs.

I'm really surprised that nothing from either of Def Leppard's two biggest albums made this particular list. They did, collectively sell well over 10 million copies in the years that they were released worldwide. Not even Love Bites which was an international #1 hit worldwide. Just surprised is all.

I think I commented on the last one, thanks for adding Dire Straits: -) trying to think back to my childhood to which songs really caught the imagination. There were some which I think didn't travel like tpau and five star, and I loved Billy Ocean, still do, but that's about it

Bowie's Ashes to Ashes should be there, as it was the inspiration for Visage's Fade to Gray, plus Visage's own Steve Stange appears in the video for Ashes to Ashes, the influence of that song is huge, and it was also a hit all over europe

You easily could have chosen 150 o 200 great songs from the eighties (for example, any song from Michael Jackson or Madonna, Kaoma's Lambada, Ofra Haza's Im Nin'alu, Bee Gees' You win again, etc)

Should be renamed to 100 POP songs that defined the '80s, because all major Rock classics of the 80s were left out, and the 80s were one of the most prolific decades for Rock music.
