Poor little girl was terrified. I love how she hisses while they're bathing her but she doesn't make serious effort to fight. I wonder if that was when she began to realize these strange creatures might be trying to help her and didn't want to hurt her. And so amazing that she was able to walk again! She was lucky to get a family 100% ready to give her all the lovings and support she needed. And naming her Bastet, after the Ancient Egyptian cat goddess Awesome.

This was an absolutely beautiful story. You can tell that cat thinks the world of its hooman. Iv noticed the difference from the cat I let move in from the streets to the cat that was born in my house. The former street cat shows her appreciation everyday. My Harry who was born here thinks I’m his servant and that I was put on this earth to attend to his wants and needs. lol. Love them both. Plus my other two cats. They are all great in their own way

It’s so sad because that cat wasn’t angry and mean. It was so scared and alone, and did not know who to trust. So many animals just can’t communicate with us but when we give them love and space and tenderness, they can all become their authentic selves, even if they are a little cranky.

I had a case like this. Extremely angry, scared, hissy. Two days later, she's purring on my lap. Two months later, she is adopted with her new friend Graffiti. Sundance went through a lot, but found a loving home. My best all time rescue!

So often we get confused about the emotion they show. Was she so angry, or was she hurt and terrified and trying to protect herself from a HUGE predator If you stand 9 inches tall, humans are pretty big and scary.

The relief of seeing the strength return to her hind legs and seeing her walk! I really thought she was paralyzed, but knowing the quality of her life is only going to be enhanced all the more is fantastic.

Jainwi and IVy made such a greazt job healing poor Bastet. Seeing her in the beginning with broken legs broke my heart. Happily Bastet recovered. Gaining her love is so well deserved!
