And people say pitbulls are dangerous first time I saw one in NY I almost lost it (I am in the UK and they are banned) and people were avoiding this big pit and he was still wagging his tail! he came up to me, owner apologised, I said he's a pit right the owner said yes and the dog jumped up on me and I asked to pet him and stayed for 15 mins just giving this sweet boy all the love! he was crying when I left so I ran back just to give him another hug! I won't EVER forget that dog or his lovely owner! ITS NOT THE BREED IT'S THE OWNER!

We have a big boy who looks just like him except that someone docked his tail. I don’t know why someone would do that, except maybe it was irreparably injured. I found him abandoned under a bush on the side of an entrance ramp to a freeway. He had completely given up hope. Now he’s a big happy goofball and a blessing to our lives!

What a beautiful, good boy. Thanks for saving him. However, I would ask that people don't attach leashes to dog collars around their necks -- use a harness. We made that mistake several years ago; our dog lunged at a squirrel and severely damaged her larnyx. It healed but caused future problems.

Why did they give him straw as bedding like a chicken though. Should have given him some comfy plush blankets in his dog house. Poor little guy. I’m happy he got the help and love he deserves though.

Rex looks a lot like our dog, except ours is part pitbull and while they're both rescues. He's not the friendliest dog towards strangers(though he has started asking neighbors for them to pet him.

Seeing Rex in that horrible condition just broke my heart. but after seeing him get the help and love he deserved it filled my heart with such joy! Thank you for saving him.

This looks like a rescue organization, and I would bet donuts to dollars at somebody dropped that pup off near there, knowing that these people would help help him.
