I had turkeys and I miss my male brown one we named Uncle Brownie. My dad would let him inside and we had to nurse him to health one day because he suddenly had a hard time walking but every morning my dad would let him in and we’d here him gobble. He would get freaky with crocs, peoples feet (especially mine for some reason I’d try getting him away tho but he was very interested in my feet, pillows and blankets wadded up on the floor. He suddenly disappeared one night right before we had to moved states over. We miss him every day. We still have our chickens though.

Years ago my parents had a house out in the country and every morning my mom would walk to the road and go and get the daily newspaper. It was really funny because she would go out and following directly behind her were three Collies and a couple of ducks and the neighbor's dog and a couple of other birds and there was a turkey. When you watch them all following my mom it was hysterical I love your turkeys burp it almost sounds like a tiger growling.

Please stop before checking with your vet!
Your turkey has a unique digestive system which includes a craw (pouch) where it’s food is ground so it can digest it. You could be causing harm to his digestive system.
Please don’t do this anymore until you know for sure it is okay. The fact that turkeys do not burp naturally should be a warning.

Something to consider this holiday season: turkey isn't good unless you flavor it with plants. Roots, breads, herbs. You don't need to eat these wonderful little creatures anymore than a dog or cat. Try side dishes. Who doesn't love a big plate of mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, and yams

When I was 8, I got a baby turkey and raised it. When I was 13, my father made me chop it's head off, cook it & eat it! He told me I had to start being a Man & the little boy days were over.

Turkeys are beautiful. There is a rafter of wild turkeys that graze our neighborhood all the time and let us get fairly close enough to see the iridescence and plumage.

Most birds CAN'T burp or fart. So it's interesting that turkeys are the one domestic one that can. FYI don't try it on your other pet birds, you'll hurt them.
