Money Heist started out as a total flop and turned into an international phenomenon. The influence of the show is so big, its inspired real life robberies and has seen fans swarming the set and halting the filming process! While the production originally existed on a much smaller scale, their production values totally changed when Netflix gave them an enormous budget that allowed for flying to seven different countries to film in 300 different locations, use of expensive helicopters and access to actual private islands!
The people behind Money Heist were also committed to bringing as much realism to the screen as possible, bringing on experts like an actual surgeon to give a character stitches for real for the show!
While travelling around the world to film might sound like a dream, depending on the location, the actors really struggled. In Thailand filming on a boat, multiple actors almost fainted due to the extreme heat the actors even stripped down to their underwear to make doing their rehearsals a bit more bearable.
Epic scenes like the money showering in the streets of Spain looked amazing, but were a huge pain for the crew! The team faced countless delays due to wind blowing the money in the wrong direction and unpredictable weather that ruined the set and props.
The show has proven to be popular with people around the world and some of those fans include big names like Mena Massoud, Mindy Kailing and soccer player Neymar Jr.

Lord The show became very successful not just because of the story of the heist itself but because of the love story of the professor, Raquel, Tokyo, Rio, Denver and Stockholm. Super love this show!

Lord Though for all its schemes and shootouts, Money Heist has quite a bit of soap opera DNA. It's the kind of show in which characters seemingly die, only to return the next episode. reply
