I don’t really play video games too often, the things I played as a kid were stuff like Angry Birds, Cut the Rope, Fruit Ninja, Temple Run, Where’s my Water, Candy Crush, The Sims, RollerCoaster Tycoon, etc. I also have an original Nintendo and Game boy that I love. I was more of a board game fan back then though.
reply

damn, most of those games were past my childhood, lol. Games that defined mine would be stuff like Mario 1-3, World, Mike Tyson's Punch Out. basically NES/early SNES (and from this list, MK. I do have lots of nostalgia for Pokemon, FF7. but those were more into my tween - teenage years.

Mortal Kombat was always been a part of my childhood.
I remember when we were kids, my older sister, and I would frequently play it in the back arcade area of our favorite pizza shop. I would get so mad that she would always knock my Scorpion into the Deadpool with her Subzero.

Diablo(both the first for the nightmare of the Butcher, and the second for the gameplay, Starcraft.
But I remember Halo's matches were epic. rockets only on prisoner, shotguns only on wizard, and of course cross-mapping with the pistol on the main map.

I have two in mind. Yoshi's Island was an amazing game with more than 20 levels. Digimon Rumble Arena was the fighting game that became really addictive. I say pick these 2 along with Spyro Year of the Dragon and Donkey Kong 64 for the top 20 list!

WatchMojo, looks like you’ve missed a few games. Counter Strike Beta 7. 0 (released in the 2000) and Half Life (release in 1998. The first ever copy of Counter Strike and Half Life. Both these games was part and always have been my childhood memories.

My childhood game franchise was Angry Birds! I was obsessed with playing the game and even had a shirt with Angry Birds! Plus, it was one of the things that got me introduced to EvanTubeHD! Good times indeed!

I still remember playing GTA 4 as a kid in the late 2010’s. Every time I got home from school, I would go to my friend’s house that lived STRAIGHT in front of my house. It was literally a 15 second walk lol
reply

Of these, I’ve played Super Smash Brothers Melee, Final Fantasy VII, Ocarina of Time, Super Mario 64, and first gen PokeMon. I never owned Mario Kart 64, but I’ve played it with friends. Good times.

One day I'll have enough money to where I won't mind being frivolous with some of it, and I'm going to buy a Pikachu Game Boy Color, Pokemon Yellow, and Pokemon Gold, and fall into a nostalgia coma
reply

Final Fantasy VI is better than VII and not only will I die on that hill I'll take everyone down with me.
I will not be hearing any blasphemous objections to this scientifically-proven fact.

reply

Well, the majority of these franchises including the honorable mentions were ones I played in my childhood and teens years. All of them but Final Fantasy which I am now catching up with.
reply

Its sad that Pokemon does not hold the same quality of games that it had back then.
Back then its all about the passion and love for making it.
Nowadays, its all about the money.

reply

My Childhood games were the ones from Super Nintendo and Nintendo Wii. Especially The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess, Super Mario Galaxy 2, Super Mario World and Super Mario All Stars.
