Two movies that got my tears flowing was Dragonheart ( 1996) when the creature Draco voiced by the legendary Sean Connery, gave up it's life to both stop a tyrant and to try to bring medieval humanity together.
The second one was Angels in the Outfield ( 1994 ) when the two young boys Roger Bomman and his friend, J. P. were possibly going to be seperated in the film's Finale.
IT didn't turn out that way, and had an excellent Feel good ending. but for a FEW BRIEF SECONDS there. you really REALLY wondered if they were going to be broken apart after ALL that happened up to that point.
. I freaking CRIED my eyes out at both the initial assumption that in the end, both boys would not be together. AND Moreso, at Draco's Sacrifice; At that moment in time, I never NEVER wanted to NOT be human more then before. for all the atrocities our species is capable of. that such a noble creature of heart should perish from our greed and evil.

Check, check, check, check. yep, for most of those I've seen (or re-seen) as an adult. Although I start crying for practically every Disney movie I see in the theater nowadays, Inside Out seems to hit harder each time I see it. The first scene of Up and the last scene of Toy Story 3 - those are givens for everyone. I'd have to include Schindler's List (you do mention it, The Art of Racing in the Rain, and Big Fish in my 20. And course, if any adult Star Wars fan didn't choke up at the re-introduction and death scenes of Luke, Leia and Han within the sequel trilogy, well they're not really fans. Heck, that's carried over into the TV series, just watch the reaction videos.

no FIRST BLOOD are you kidding me many hardened war vets have confessed they couldn't watch sly's monologue at the end coz it hit too close to home. they would weep, literally shake during the scene. and the emotion brought out would extend to the family members of those vets, moreso the sons. a powerful ending that opened, and continues to open the eyes of people on the reality of PTSD and the horrors of war. even president reagan referred to rambo in the 80s in one of his speeches about vietnam. easily top 5 for this topic. nothing is over! you don't just turn it off!
also possibly top 10 on this list should be braveheart.

Apollo 13. The tension Ron Howard builds during the reentry scene is amazing, weaving what he put on film with news reports from the actual event. The moment they hear Tom Hanks' voice, just when hope seems lost, is perfect. I once saw a man wiping away tears when the movie was played on a long flight.
Hacksaw Ridge is another with an incredibly powerful moment that comes after the hero, Doss, has saved scores of wounded, finding them and lowering them down the cliff single-handedly. He's met by his fellow soldiers with respect and acceptance instead of blows in a scene so well-acted that it's almost painful to watch.

Stuff that's not on the list that always gets me:
Casablanca (1942, in way too many scenes, but the airport finale is just perfection.
1776 (1972): By a count of twelve to none. with one abstention. the resolution. IS adopted.
The Shawshank Redemption (1994): Brooks was here.
Jerry Maguire (1996): You had me at 'Hello. '
Apollo 13 (1995): Hello Houston, this is Odyssey. It's good to see you again.

Gents, we may say that bit made me cry when what we MEAN is that bit LET me cry
I lost my gran in 1991 and didn't shed a tear for months even though I love and miss her, it took I know now why you cry, but it's something I can never do to break the seal.
Men process emotions differently to women but they are no less valid for it. I see you my brothers.
I'll always have a hug

I've seen most of these movies and I cannot say I disagree with any of the choices. One I would like to add despite how divisive it might be to some is the passion of the Christ. That one definitely had me crying a lot. And even though this one is animated, I bawled like a baby at how to train Your dragon 2 after stoic the vast was killed by toothless as well as the movie The iron Giant

You should have included animations - Grave of the Fireflies, Inside Out, Iron Giant. and of course Up would be at #1 with a bullet. I've only shed a tear in a few movies, most notably Green Mile (which imo should have topped this list, but Up made me actually cry, HARD. If you can watch Up without crying, either you're not paying attention, or you're not human. There is no inbetween.

And also where is A. I on the list; Do you guys remember about this little mecha boy trying to find a way to become a human (somewhat similar to pinocchio) in order to be loved by his adoptive mother and just to get one day to spend with her to love her and to be loved as son and mother

Hmmmm only films that made me tear up were A Dog's Purpose, Journey, and Way Home. Also Ghostbusters Afterlife Egon Spengler ghost at the end.
All these films listed were good. But not tear worthy for me. too much human element. I don't feel for people, except Harold Ramis lol

In The Last Samurai that one line - I will miss our conversations. When my dad was diagnosed with Stage IV cancer and I had no idea how long he had left, that's the last text message I ever sent him. I'm grateful he's still around, but that line means the world to me.

The second time I saw Saving Private Ryan I was alone and cried pretty much the entire movie. Than opening was so realistic one could almost feel what those men went through. The 1979 movie The Champ is a real tear-jerker. It's worth the watch.

First Blood. Try to get through the scene of John Rambo breaking down in hysterical tears, recounting the fate of his war buddies to Colonel Trautman without crying along with him.
Or I Am Legend, when he realizes his dog is infected.

It would be so horrible to have my daughter think I left her to die while I went off to live and there is no way to let her know I wasn’t aware.
That scene in Interstellar was painful for any father with a daughter.

My #1 is Lord of the Rings: Return of the King. When Aragorn is crowned King of Gondor and tells the hobbits, while bowing, my friends. you bow to no one. Then the entire kingdom bows too. Totally gets me every time.

Has there ever been a movie just about dudes getting hit in the jimmies
That would probably do it
I DID cry at the end of The Dirty Dozen when Trini Lopez bought it
I’m sobbing now as I type this in.
