we’re counting down our picks for the Saturday Night Live sketches that, in light of events that occurred after their initial air date, have taken on a darker significance. Our countdown includes Don’t Look Back in Anger, Harassment Charlie, The Menendez Trial, Soda Shop, and more. Are there any SNL sketches that are hard for you to watch nowadays

I remember a skit during the 2000 Presidential election where they envisioned what the world would look like with George W. Bush as President. Will Farrell played Bush, 6 months into his term, hiding under his desk in the Oval Office while, in the background, you could see Washington DC burning. A year later, we had 9/11. That's a skit that's always stayed with me.

I remember the Menendez brothers sketch. Given everything we know especially from the documentary, it wasn't funny. I know that other comedians poked fun of them, notably Chris Rock when he talked about bonding with his brother and saying that the brotherly bond worked for the Wayans bros and not so much for the Menedenez bros.

The Irony of Don’t Look Back in Anger is not only that John Belushi was the first SNL cast member to die in real life, but also that all the cast members he mentions in the short film are still alive to this day except Gilda Radner.

Why is on e candidate winning disturbing You realize as a content creator that the vast majority of the country supported him (almost 3 times. Why risk pushing them away. Either way your lists are always fund to watch.

The Kevin Spacey episode was one of the best of that time. It contained Star Wars Auditions, where he played Walter Matthau, Jack Lemmon, and Christopher Walken. John Cleese & Michael Palin appeared as well

Menendez Bros were on tape admitting they lied. but who cares bc they now claim they were abused with ZERO proof, so lets just let them and ANYONE ELSE in prison who claims child abuse with no proof, right

That’s supposed in impersonation of Brittany Murphy is one of the most disrespectful, idiotic dumbest most worst impression I have ever seen anybody do of anybody ever!

Louis C. K. is not disgraced. He's sold out Madison Square Garden multiple times since his canceling
He's only disgraced to suburban liberal women.

Now that I know the Truth. The TRUTH. THE TRUTH ABOUT! David S Pumpkins. Man oh man. Its still a great sketch. But the truth is. its quite the hot potato.

For me it was the sketch between Tina Fey and a young Justin Bieber. Tina Fey fantasized about a relationship with a minor. So disturbing and disgusting.

The sympathy for those evil little Menendez brats is pathetic, to this day there is zero solid evidence they were molested by their parents.
reply

Nah the Menendez brothers skit was unforgiveable, Everything we know now we knew way back then when they did the skit, no excuse just pure ignorance.

I absolutely love Donald Trump. I haven't felt good about our country since Trump was in last. Now he's gonna finish getting shit Right
reply

It's pretty disturbing to see how actively media is shoving their viewers one president candidate over other. And then you see the results.

Watching these reminds me of how painfully unfunny SNL truly is. I feel if you laugh at this shit, you huff your own farts.
