Is this COVID19 pandemic normalizing? No one in our lifetime has gone through anything like this before so who do we look to when it comes to figuring out the new steps? Should the economy go back to normal. what is normal anyway? We don't know how to feel but maybe it's time to start thinking of our next steps as individuals so we can continue to move forward through this coronavirus new way of life with a deeper understanding of our social and personal values

I see you guys peacefully walking and I'm so envious, because social distancing looks so different for many of us. In many countries in Europe, including Italy, parks, forests, even the smallest enclaves of greenery have been closed and are off limits; you can't really go out if not out of absolute necessity and any movement (like walking your dog) is heavily constrained, with strict limits (like 400 m away from your house) enforced with harsh penalties. Then there's the duty to cover your nose and mouth while in public. It's so hard to focus on any personal development when you're cut off from nature and can't even see other people's faces covered under masks whenever you do get to go out for a little while. The thought that this is what future looks like fills me with despair. It's been going on for a while here now, and many of us are nearing our limits, so thank you for your work, it gives me so much relief and helps me keep my sanity.

Something I've been struggling with is this feeling of intense discomfort. It's brought me back to years of suffering from depression, avoidance and denial. Trying to lean into the discomfort of change and press on with the tasks that need doing while balancing the very necessary moments of rest and contemplation. As far as the topic of normal I don't think this form of normal we understood before this was working. It wasn't serving us, and we are now being gifted with the choice of creating a new normal. But having that balance of control and freedom is so incredibly difficult when it comes to the collective good vs the individual. I don't have an answer but some things I've been thinking about.

Thank you for this chat! Several weeks at home have definitely been a very good thing to me. I tend to worry a lot about my appearance, so working with colleagues via messages and phone calls has actually removed an enormous source of pressure from my days! Actually, I knew that I was a bit too conscious about the way I look, but I would never have imagined that removing this source of pressure would lead to such relief! In addition, I spend my working hours with my cat sleeping nearby, and this is very pleasant. I really would like companies to create pet friendly policies, or even have their own pets? They help managing stress so much! So this has been a kind of awakening for me too: )

That was definitely not the best normal. We have so much to be grateful for, at the moment. I think we really have the opportunity to create a brand new future, better than the one we were creating before all this happened. There's so much beauty, even now. We have always lived in uncertainty, the difference is just that now is much more evident. I am personally so grateful for my yoga and Pilates practice, I have time to study for uni and to dedicate time to what I love. I can finally spend some quality time with my family! Actually I'd really love to know more about plants, unfortunately I don't have space for a garden but I was thinking I could have some plants love you lots namaste

My experience has really helped to shape my perspective. Not much has changed, I'm still working full time in health care and was already doing online school, so my hours are all the same. However, I can feel this massive shift that has taken place in my community, like a big deep universal breath that is released, to where everything feels more relaxed and calm and smooth at least in the city I live in. Now I always try to be aware of the people who lost jobs, parents struggling to get a break from little kids, and those who are so scared because it's happening even if not to me. But hopefully everyone is going outside more and letting go of some control and being overall okay

Thanks for sharing. I guess it really is up to us individually on how we choose to look at things. I think this situation can bring the best or the worst in people depending on what their focus is. Obsessing over the news, which are mainly negative, does no one any good and we have no control over that. We can only control our thoughts and emotions. I look at it as a wonderful opportunity that's given to us to recreate a bond with ourselves. Some of us will start a new hobby, a new business idea, some will grow a garden, or binge all day and all of that is fine. There is no right or wrong as we are all in this together and figuring things out one day at a time.

I think its difficult. For me the situation has meant I cant expose myself to anxiety triggers which I had gotten a good handle on and so to not expose myself to them makes it hard. Also in the UK because Ive gone to a safer place as Im classed as vulnerable its meant Ive not been able to go to my allotment where I grow my own food and be connected to nature which has caused a lot of sadness for me. I am grateful though that Ive used your guided meditations daily which has meant Ive made it a real habit and in doing so its helped me be a bit less reactional. What happens to the world who knows.

You guys! I LOVE this. I have been asking a lot of these same questions. one of the big ones is about freedoms, and truth. There IS a huge shift happening, or at least, it seems that way. I think you said it well. -how much are we willing to give to get back to normal, when that normal wasnt all that great to begin with. - Good luck on the garden. I have my baby plants indoors right now. in MN its too early to plant yet! Best thing I love to grow is Kale! You just plant it and it grows- you cut off the leaves and it keeps growing more

I deeply hope that once this will be over we won't forget the good things this period has taught us, such as the beauty and the luck of spending time with people we love (and regarding this I can't wait to see again all the people I haven't been seeing for a month an a half and that I miss so much, appreciating simple things and also slow down our rhythms sometimes. I hope our society will change in better and at the same time I hope a vaccine will be found soon, because until then I don't think we'll feel 100% safe.

I believe it is an Awakening. There are many truths that are coming out. This is the time for truth to prevail. I've learned to slow down some, and enjoyed myself. I did not realize the amount of stress that I was under at my job, until they furloughed me. But this is the happiest I have been in a long time. And they called me to come back to work this week coming my stress level went up again. So now I know I need to make some changes for the better. And I hope the world comes to the truth and it heals them too.
