Pro hairdresser tests cheap drugstore shampoo Kim: I have noticed with the cheaper shampoos, they will work okay, well enough to get you by for the first couple of washes but after that, they either weigh down my hair too much or dry it out despite it saying how moisturizing it is. I have bought them in a pinch until I get my normal stuff but they just don't go the distance for me and dry out my hair too much. I put them in my husbands shower. since he does not care what he uses and won't listen as to why I get the higher end brands. So, here ya go. lol.

this is not very offensive, you just took the review personally. youre here for a professional hair dressers opinion, did you think every product would be a raving review? just use what you like! no one is going into your shower to judge your income. there were a lot of positive and informative comments in here idk why everyone is so offended.

I've been using Dove products for a long time. I usually don't use the generic Dove shampoo, I like the one with avocado oil. There are some really nice smelling Dove shampoos out there. Also, their conditioner is pretty good also. In my country is brand is of the more expensive ones you can find in generic stores (if you can even find it)

I've bought high end and cheap shampoos. Pantene is the best. Every stranger that you meet that has beautiful hair usually uses cheap shampoo. Save your money lol! I bought Moroccan oil hydrating shampoo for almost $30 a bottle and my hair looked like crap. Used Pantene and my hair is so nice!

In my opinion, the best way to save on shampoo and have healthy hair is to not wash it so much and still use quality products. I probably only wash my hair once a week and my hair is used to it and it doesnt get greasy anymore. I find that aloe based shampoo works great with my hair.

Brad, I cant tell you how helpful youve been to me in tough times. Ive managed to cut my hair, color it, and take care of my hair even when I cant afford to pay a good stylist what they deserve. Youve helped me to feel good about myself $$$ or no.

Pantene RUINED my hair when I was a teen, I used to use it all the time, I bought THE WHOLE LINE I used it for at least 2 years and it make my hair extremely dried and brittle, I do not recommend if you have low to medium porosity and fine hair

For me its Olaplex, Oribe, Kevin Murphy, VERB (the dry shampoo powder is to die for! No aerosol, OUAI, and Pureology. I love Briogio, but loathe the smell. I stopped using it years ago. Everyone loves it, so I guess its just me.

What about shampoo soap bar things, I forget the names of them. I see them everywhere now and Im not sure about them. Id love to see a video of you testing those out to see which are worth buying/trying.

I will always and forever only use Suave. It's ridiculously cheap, but it makes my hair feel so clean and healthy! Plus everyone else in my family uses it and I don't have to hide it like the expensive stuff.

Err as a kid I asked for herbal essences for Christmas because it was so fancy to me. Even as an adult I legit spend like max five quid combined on shampoo and conditioner. I feel very poor rn

Brad: Why would you wanna smell like candy?
Me: sprays heaps of cotton candy scented perfume puts perfume back next to vanilla cookie and brown sugar perfume
Me: wait what?

Testing ANY product on a tiny piece of hair extension (is that even human hair) doesn't tell us anything. And the smell is gone as soon as the hair dries, who cares?
