First, Adam gets a big 1 for making it so obvious that this is an ad.
I'm anti-air fryer. I don't ever eat frozen foods that would benefit from air frying.
I also live and cook alone, and heating up my big oven always seems like a waste. [I don't have a/c, so don't use it at all in hot months. ] So, when I decided to buy a small oven, I sprung for one that does both convection and air frying. [Breville Smart Oven Air Fryer Pro, bought on a very good Black Friday sale. ]
Turns out, the air fryer setting is useful.
If I use the basket, I can cook a sheet pan style dinner of a frozen salmon filet and roast vegetables in about 20 minutes from opening the freezer drawer to table. The salmon skin gets crispy and the veggies pick up a little char. This has become one of my I'm too tired to cook meals. I'm still experimenting, but I bet I can do similar with a chicken thigh, or a chop, or a small steak.
Is it a real air fryer I don't care. It works for my cooking needs. Would I ever buy a dedicated air fryer Nope! My oven can also bake without fan, broil, dehydrate, and even make toast.

Every day is a school day, as they say. To my mind 'fries' are thin strips of reformed potato, deep fried, as you get places like Maccy Ds. Do Americans really call thick cut pieces of potato 'fries' instead of chips How weird!
As for air fryers, of course we are all a little surprised that Adam is promoting such a thing. Especially as it appears he treats the gadget with contempt. I can't imagine he'd slam the conventional oven door shut. Me, I'm still learning how to use the air fryer. My 91 year old dad said a couple of months ago he wanted one. So now, when I cook for him on Fridays I use it for fish and chips in some form. He can't manage proper chips as his teeth are weak, so I cook oven fries. I think I've finally got the right timing: )

This device is way to gadgety for me. I'm not gonna hate on Adam for securing his family's future or anything, but I really wish that the industry in the United States would stop trying to push these plastic oblong fad devices to everyone.
In Japan, we have had one microwave-esque device that functioned as a counter-top convection oven, a grill, broiler, and a microwave in one, mostly metal, long lasting appliance. Breville is the only company I know of that ever sold something similar to this(they had a counter-top convection oven as part of their toaster oven line) that was admitted less feature-rich than the Japanese models, but it was well made and designed to replace a lot of the make-hot appliances in the American kitchen.

This is why I don't buy air fryers. With 120V power in the US, you can't get enough power to make things sear or get crispy. What you get is a reasonable facsimile. The reason is there isn't enough electrical power to generate the kind of heat one needs to do these things.
What I want is for someone to bring forth a 220-volt air fryer. Build a quality unit; something that actually works and won't break in 3 years; and I'll buy that, The extra power from the 220-volt tie-in means more power for crispiness and searing.
Otherwise my electric range and cast-iron pans are always there for me.
Are there any manufacturers out there reading I give these ideas free without any expectation of compensation.

Ehh, comments are a bit mixed on this ad, but a man's gotta pay his bills and being this upfront about it I don't mind.
I appreciate information on making something that is not _just_ reheating and/or frozen food with these things though.
We've got one, but for some reason it mostly does frozen fries and (cinnamon) buns. It's pretty nice for when we want fries with something that cooks for a long time in the oven, especially if that something has humidity, but hardly something we need.

Tip #1 when making homemade fries. Precook your potatoes. I wash and bake my potatoes the day before. Fridge overnight. Then cut the already cooked potatoes into fries or wedges. Now, since they are already cooked, you are only trying to get the outside crunchy. This can be done with an extremely hot convection oven or extremely hot oil. Oven is healthier. But you need extremely high heat for a short time period. In the oven just a small coating of oil is plenty.

Adam callung it a fryer was not something I would have ever expected.
Otherwise, it's nice to see it advertized with a recipe that's made for it and not acting like it's a deep fryer like it is usually advertized.
Thick fries work better than the thin ones in an airfryer, totally agree on that. Last time I had airfryer fries, they were the thick ones, and for once, I've found them edible (still not a fan, but better than the other types.

I typically hate when a content creator designates an entire episode to a sponsor BUT his chosen words were very well said. Adam has that many sponsors throwing shit at him that i trust that Adam wouldn't recommend a product unless he actually thought it was good. He's not trying to sell us mortgage insurance. Would this product suit me No, i have a family of 7, so unless i had 5 going at the same time, dinner would take forever to get ready.

Are we blurring the line between content and sponsored content I feel like i just watched QVC. Thank you Adam, but personally I enjoy not feeling like I'm watching an infomercial when I enjoy your content. But hey, my opinion is just one of thousands, and I really enjoy your content. This one was just a bit too commercial-y. Either way, thank you for the content

My air fryer is my go to now for anything dark chicken related. Thighs or wings. Still trying to perfect a rotisserie style with recipe with the air fryer. Does a job on pork steaks or chops as well. Air fried broccoli is also amazing seasoned with some salt pepper and chopped up garlic if you have some fresh as opposed to just microwaving or boiling it.

Things like this are definitely made for a certain person in mind. If you are at all interested in cooking it's PROBABLY not for you, but there are definitely people out there who can't afford a whole ass oven or don't have room for it.
Is it for me Definitely not. But I can see why someone would make great use of it.

like adam said. as a single they are much more convinient than the bigoven. saves energy costs and is quicker. Not so much for families. (also people disliking the video just because its an ad even tho adam is very transparent that he personally has no use for it are pathetic. i can see the didslike ratio)

the hilarity of Adam Ragusra talking about an air fryer for an entire video aside, i appreciate you being upfront about this video being a sponsored add.
have seen yourubers trying to hide that fact and only mentioning at the end of the video in the past and that feels incredibly manipulative

Thx Adam. I had to watch this a couple of times because you packed so many little tips into the vid that my brain couldn't recall all of them. Just as I was processing one, you threw another one in there right after it. Love the vid and info. Thx for doing this, filming it and sharing it with us.

If this thing works fine without an app then I'm all in, but if it does require it then that's it. I'm sick and tired of basic stuff being mish mashed with apps and subscribtions and apps. Like come on man, does your fridge really has to have a touchscreen to function

I have a two basket ninja air fryer. Got it for christmas a few years ago. Love it, didnt expect to but i do. I never thought to use the probe thermometer with it tho. what temp should the inside of the meat reach with this method(havent ever cooked a steak)

A little surprised by the liberal use of aluminum on display (especially in combination with acidic ingredients) since it's a material with a substantial negative environmental impact that should not be ingested at all if possible. Maybe a topic for another video

If getting a sponsor helps you get paid for the work you've put in for years then I'm all for it. You've made it incredibly clear this video is an advert, so nobody is being tricked, and you deserve to reap the benefits of the large audience you've cultivated.

Looks like a machine worth its price.
But Adam, your definition of cheap meat is much different than mine, haha. ten bucks a pound IS fit for a king on my budget! Looks amazing though.
Have sent this to my bro who's extremely fond of home fries.
