I bought a OnePlus phone a couple months ago, and although I have no brand loyalship whatsoever (I think just buying whatever is currently the best deal is smarter) I will say i'm enjoying the oneplus phone so far, but i got the Oneplus Nord 2 instead, which i think is way more of a reasonable price for the majority of features i need.
Most people agree taht flagships are a bit overkill, and midrange phones currently hold the majority of the marketshare. Flagships are good for hype and showcasing the best the company is capable of, which has a trickle down effect into their mindrange phone sales.
The Hasselblad partnership is definitely something to be excited about, but on the oneplus 9, all hasselblad has contributed is software tweaks and image color tuning; No hasselblad hardware yet; We may need to wait for hte Oneplus 10 or later for that. That's when things should get really impressive.

While I have zero interest in getting the camera, I have to say that it is darn good for images/video. I'm distinctly less impressed with the audio quality, though it would have been interesting to have a comparison between the mic on your normal camera and the phone camera.
I will also say that you did a very good job of interspersing the ad with the actual recipe. Unlike most embedded ads I felt no need to skip over what was being said, and actually followed with some academic interest. While other people may object to this sort of thing on principle (cf: Kenji) I'm personally in favor of capitalism, so have no objection to this sort of thing in moderation. I can always click away if I don't like what it being shown. Somehow this option doesn't seem to be mentally available to many viewers. I've never understood why not.

Grow up, y all. This is content uploaded outside of Adam s normal schedule, like all of his ad videos. The only time an ad like this is totally egregious is in the case of something like the vitamin video, which contained misinformation. This is a simple ad for a phone.
Believe it or not, Adam is a regular guy with a family and this is his job. He needs to make money one way or another. You can make advertisements without compromising your values as a person.

Going to be completely honest: Not a fan of the way this video is presented. I appreciate that you were upfront about the advertising, but it really felt like I was watching an ad for a phone with some distractions about corn pudding mixed in rather than the other way around.
It is especially misleading considering the title is Southern Corn Pudding, but what we got was an advertisement.

Why buy a smartphone that takes pictures when you can buy a smartcamera that makes phonecalls - Hasselback Potatoes
Recipe looks delicious. Phone ad could use a little more fine tuning. Great they got a good camera, what about the rest of the phone?
How is the cpu for processing photos? Memory storage? Software for processing images? Any other phone benefits?

I do appreciate the honesty in terms of how this was literally an ad rather than a sponsored video, but I feel I should emphasise that the extreme integration of the sponsor in the video, combined with the understandable weird shooting style, meant this was the first of your videos in a very long time that I've given up watching less than halfway through.

Get that ad money but the amount of cuts in this video was somewhat atrocious and made it hard to follow. Wouldn't have minded if it was even a side-by-side of phone/camera video streams but just hard cuts back and forth hurt to watch. Fade transitions between camera/phone vids versus hard cuts to different scenes would've been easier too imo.

Adam, I know you get some flak with the ad videos, but you've done a great job making sure that we get the content that we keep coming back for even with this change; there's good recipes in the ad videos, too, and no compromise to the rest of the upload schedule. I appreciate the work you put in to make sure that we benefit along with you!

If you remove all the sponsored segments this video is probably only about 3 minutes long, I don't particularly mind sponsors if they don't affect the overall quality of the video but this and the other Ritual sponsored video he made recently just feel like Adam is trying to sell us something.
I really don't like how this trend is going.

I don t care about the ad. He did a good job. Gave info and a demo. Better than the ads on tv where you have no idea what is being advertised. The recipe though is another thing. Using rendered turkey fat made me feel like throwing up. First recipe I ve watched that revolted me with many of the ingredients.
