Sno Balls. Baby boomers will remember this post-World War II junk food favorite. Claire Saffitz returns to the Test Kitchen to try her hand at making gourmet Sno Balls. Check out Claire's Instagram: danteelite: Why do people sometimes complain where there are differences? I thought the whole point of this series was to improve on a classic, and make a gourmet version. If she made an identical looking and tasting version, wouldn't that defeat the purpose? Often I wish she made even bigger changes, really make it better and put that Claire stank on it. hate it hersThis was an amazing job as usual. Claire is my food hero, I'm kinda frazzled when I cook and I tend to mess up a lot. but I always think WWCD I keep going and try hard because I know Claire never gives up: D She's the best

There are a lot of plants that release seeds, but only the ones that have flowers have fruit. All fruit contain seeds, but not all seeds are within a fruit. A good rule of thumb for telling is something is a fruit is to ask 'Does the plant want someone to eat this? ' If it is brightly colored, sweet, easy to bite into, and/or aromatic, then it is a fruit. If not, then it is a probably a vegetable or a naked seed, which is the scientific term for a seed that is not contained in a fruit.

First of all, I don't think I could create anything Claire does without failing a million times first and crying a couple times. That being said what I love most about this show is that Claire doesn't just home-run-hit-it-out-of-the-park, it truly is a test kitchen. She fails, and then uses her skill to get her treats to where she wants them, and that's impressive. And watching the cogs turn as Claire figures things out is endlessly entertaining. Thanks BA for quality content

I have been bingeing this series lately, and Im really loving Claire. I hope she reads the comments on these videos and sees how much everyone worships her. I also hope BA appreciates Claire because of the emotional roller coaster this series can be. I have zero interest in ever recreating these, I just watch for Claire and the wholesome team dynamic. You guys have a good thing going. Also loving Brad and Chris, and their special relationships with Claire.

All of Hostess snacks suck. They haven't been good since 2012. I don't know if they had to change the recipes to makes a profit or what, but all the cakes are dry AF. Even Wonder Bread sucks. And my heart breaks every time I pass a loaf of Colombo Sourdough in the store now. It's like they added something artificial to make it sour, it taste so wrong.

FYI Coconut is a fruit, botanically speaking. When I first started watching this series, I only watched episodes on treats I liked. Now I just watch them all because Claire is magnetic. And when Brad comes in, them both together is like watching two best friends or siblings just having a blast together and occasionally bicker.

We don't have these in the UK but I found them in a special American shop. I don't know if I just got a bad packet but I had to spit it out it tasted so bad. I'm talking pure sugar followed by a plastic aftertaste. Did I just get a bad one? What are they meant to taste like?

To make your buttercream more white, add a very small amount of purple food coloring. You could make the purple food coloring from blueberries. Same principle as creating platinum blonde hair, bleach the hair to light yellow and then tone with purple and viola white hair.

this is the first time I see something like that never knew there was something like those snow balls: 0looks tasty love watching these videos how you put all your effort making these foods looking forwards to see more videos like these

It's dry because they freeze them. Remeber when they were going out of business and Twinkies were getting rare? (you could even buy them for like 200 per package. Well one of Hostess' survival strategy was to freeze their cakes.
