There are so many things to like about this video. Claire is an exceptional teacher and communicator, explaining each technique clearly and simply. In addition to just being a delightful beautiful human being, her honesty and simple self-confidence is beguiling. What a treat it is to watch you, Claire Thank you for sharing your gifts. Michel

In the US, coffee cake is any kind of cake that goes with coffee, especially with the streusel topping that she mentions, but in the UK (and in NZ, where Im from) coffee cake is coffee-flavoured cake. I think I learnt that from lynneguist on Twitter.

I hope everything is okay at the BA kitchen. Claire seems a bit nervous and all over the place in this video. I can't really put my finger on it, but something about this video felt different. Also a weird audio thing at 9: 25.

Thank you for this wonderful recipe, I think it is certainly delicious, but I am Arab and my grandmother says that the excessive of black sesame is harmful, if the recipe is good only should not increase the black sesame.

Hi, thanks for this recipe. I love sesame seeds. I find the video too long for a simple recipe. Aside from Mr. Andy, the presentors do the vids with TMI. Is the vid about the recipe or an exhibition of your knowledge?

I'm really curious about why this/not that. She does a great job of explaining the leavening chemistry, but I am really curious about why oil and not butter, and why full fat yogurt rather than greek.

I still don't understand why moist is a word that makes people cringe. its just a word. if you have cringy connotations about it, maybe you got a dirty mind - and cant come to terms with it.

I personally don't like the poppy/vanilla variant, it's usually bone dry. I've had good experiences with oil-based cakes, so I wonder if this sesame version might be worth a try.

The biggest baking tip I have taken away is after baking something in a pan is to put it all on a wire rack and man it all comes out beautifully every time Thank you BA kitchen
