Presented by Method Join Molly Baz in the Bon Apptit Test Kitchen as she makes classic chicken noodle soup. There are tons of shortcuts for chicken noodle soup, but this time we're not cutting cornersthis is the long game This version is about as classic (and as comforting) as they come, using a whole chickenbones, skin, and allto lend flavor and body to the broth. The key is to treat the breasts and legs differently: The breasts need to be pulled early so they don't overcook and dry out, whereas the legs require a long simmer to become incredibly tender. We used ditalini here, but feel free to use any small quick-cooking pasta you have We wouldnt be mad about orzo or ABCs either

so if you are going to be the parts of the chicken out at different times throughout the cook why not break the chicken down before you start the cook and then just pull the peices out as they finnish instead of removing the chicken, letting it cool and then breaking it down 1/2 way through

I don't want to sound rude or be misunderstood. I love the fact that they uploaded a recipe for chicken noodle soup 4 hrs ago which is the same time as 12am pst 18th February which is also J-Hope's birthday who has a single titled chicken noodle soup. Coincidence?

Potentially dumb question; when Molly was was seasoning the chicken she was grabbing salt with the same hand she used to touch the chicken. Is that safe? Does the salt kill whatever would've been on her hands?

Wouldn't it be easier to cut the chicken pieces before cooking it in the broth? That way you could just take the pieces out when they're finished and dont have to take out the whole chicken everytime

Why not split the chicken before simmering it? That way, she doesn't need to take the whole chicken off the stove, and just pick out the breast. I feel like that was a bit counter-productive.

There is nothing more tasty and delightful than a good, homemade, chicken Noodle soup that a relative made. My grandma used to make me soup when I was sick. I really miss those days.

This whole video, its vibe, the soup, the girl, it all makes me want to hang out with her on a rainy day eating that delicious looking chicken soup and playing board games.

Is chicken considered safe for consumption? I read that it contains growth hormone and a mix of antibiotics. Soup looks good, but would not recommend eating it. Beef soup

Method cleans well. Like chicken soup with dumplings. Those sliced veggies take longer than 4 minutes to cook, pasta, even larger pasta like egg noodles, cooks faster.
