At Beach Hill Smokehouse, pitmaster Darien List prides himself on bringing meat with the flavors, spices, and fall-off-the-bone textures of central Texas barbecue to Toronto. In a 7, 000 pound indoor smoker, he and his team are able to cook 1, 800 pounds of meat at one time, which, in a place that gets as cold as Toronto, comes in handy

My wife and I have been to these guys and can't say enough good things. You can compare them to the other BBQ places but the story everywhere is friendly service with great food but they take it to the next level. The first time we went in they walked us through the entire menu and made suggestions plus what to try the next time we were in and really made the effort to get to know us. My only regret is no longer working in the area so not going to them as often.

I'm sure this is great PR for the restaurant and all, but this is pretty far from the first BBQ spot of this type in Canada. If anything they're late to the table. I don't doubt the quality from what I'm seeing (no aspersions there, but they didn't bring it to Canada

Well, lucky Toronto. I can ust go down the street here in Houston, but you poor guys are missing out. Now if someone just sold a good poutine down here.
