More Armenians now live outside Armenia, in cities around the world, than in it. This is the result of thousands of years of hardship: wars, revolutions, and genocide that have forced Armenians to disperse again and again as refugees. Armenian food culture reflects this dispersal, pulling from other traditions to produce a varied cuisine that changes from one community to another. But in L. A, which has the second largest Armenian population in the world, many different generations of Armenians meet, bringing together the disparate cooking styles that millenia of unrest have brought about. Touran: I'm not Armenian, but I love their food and their culture! Such a beautiful high educated people! I told my daughter who lives on LA, if some day I move to LA, I would love to get my house on Armenian area. I had a restaurant on Toronto, for many years and I was dealing with many different people from different countries, the Armenian people were the most easy going and loving people to deal with. Thank you for sharing the video! I really enjoyed it!

Even though their cuisine heavily influence by Turkish cuisine, they are entitle to call it Armenian(also they are putting too much cinnamon, you can't call it Turkish anymore: P)It doesn't matter which dish belong to certain countrywhat matter is which equation or which painting belong to certain culture

Great piece. I recently moved right next to Little Armenia and believe me when I say Papillon International Bakery is DELICIOUS! I've tried so many of their foods and it's quite lovely. Thank you for introducing me to two more restaurants to try now!

With all that said, I think the best Armenian food is Armenian Food from Armenia! Our khorovats is the best, our spas, our tolma and everything else is closer to us, who is from Armenia, it tastes like a childhood! But it is only my opinion: )

we all eat shish kebab No we dont, ask any Armenian from Armenia they will call it XOROVATS! Thats the correct way, stop serving lebanese food and calling it Armenian, only further drives the stereotype that we are middle eastern.

Long live Armenia and Armenians! This food is ours with some Syrian/Lebanese/Iranian influence. None of it is Turkish since Turkey doesn't have its own food, its all stolen from other cultures(Assyrians, Greeks, Armenians.

There is no such notion as armenian food because Armenians, as lady said spread all over the world, they borrowed or privatized other nations cuisines and start calling it armenian food which is not right.
