Professional carnivore Nick Solares loves two things: Dry-aged beef and prime rib. This week on The Meat Show he visits Mu Ramen in Long Island City, where Chef Joshua Smookler helps him combine those joys with a 200 day dry-aged prime rib slow cooked in a giant vat of rendered lard

This guy is the most pompous, pretentious, fullard, failure on youtube. He has no idea what he is talking about 99 percent of the time and merely regurgitates the same 3 pre rehearsed bullet points constantly in his description of meat products. It is so cringeworthy to watch a man that is this uneducated about meat, give a review of a product that he has no idea about, in an attempt to create tutelage by inculcating an equally naive audience. this is the most pathetic, narcissistic series of videos that has ever been culminated on a video sharing platform. Someone please stop this boy by any means necessary

This is just ridiculous. That's rotting meat that soaked into the same kind of fat you'd find at the bottom of a soaked panel of wood of a coffin that was in the ground for 4 years. Disgusting. Just eat your meat fresh, cooked to perfection, and with a side of something healthy. What's next? Eating a decomposing cow on the side of the road?

I wouldn't say the meat is overcooked per say but it's definitely lost its water content and this could've been why both nick and the chef reacted how they did. The chef said the fat permeated the meat, and it could have sapped out some of the juice that makes prime rib so tasty. Nick just generalized it as overcooked.

I am not a vegan/vegetarian. but this thing looks like the wound I had in my knees as a kid when I fell and they got scratched. A couple of days a crust would form and if you messed with it this is how it looked like.

I am experimenting 1 light year dry aged beef. It will shrink to the size of an atom in the process. But this will also enhance the ethereal funkiness in the meat from the indefinite condensation of beef substance.

Funky is not a quality I want in my steak. funky and best dont go together. You should really grow a handlebar moustache. I think thats about all youre missing at this point besides a kick in the sack!

The guy actually enjoyed the Prime Rib, but then the chef essentially insulted his taste palette and he ended up saying his last 2 experiments sucked even though he like it haha.

I'm waiting for the video where a chef wheels out a maggot-ridden cow carcass that he found in a ditch, and this dude just digs into it, turns to the camera, and shouts FUNKY.

Thats one talented and above all honest chef that doesnt compromise when it comes to magnificent food. He calls it like it is, even if its his own creation in the making.

We're going to see if we can replicate that success with prime rib. WE! They do the all the work, he just shows up to eat. He brings nothing but a camera and free publicity.
