I disagree that roman bianco pizza is better than 99% of what you would find in the united states. Honestly think most people are tricking themselves when they say italian pizza is superior to other countries. Americans - don't sell yourself short. I had some of the best pizzas I've had in NYC. Some cheap slices in NYC that were better than the average Roman pizza. Not to mention there are tons of more well known american pizza places which really deliver. I think pizza (unlike some other food types) is a dish where no style is objectively superior to others. Some days I'm in the mood for a simple napoli style pizza. When I'm hung over I'd go for a swedish pizza. After a night out I want a New York pizza. and sometimes I prefer a Chicago deep dish.

I think, that's the place, where I had pizza, when i was in Rome the first time. I was there with my schoolmates, so it' s hard to remember. But it was so damn good. I do know, where the very tasty ice cream place was, just next to the Trevi fountain, but hte pizza place was just in a random street. couldn't find it, when I went again.

Rome was and will always be a pinnacle of multicultural excellence. Rome was where African explorers first taught the people of the region law. Famous philosophers of Rome ie Cicero, Marcus Aurelius were students of African and middle eastern teachers. Not to forget that Italian cuisine is rooted to north African traders in the 600's.

Rome is a fun town to be a tourist. visited a few times and had a great time each time. I remember one time though I was struggling to get a shop owner to understand me in my broken Italian and grunting. and some laborer type guy comes up to me and shouts 'IN ITALY WE SPEAK ITALY! '. Yea. ok dude.

Lucas, its great to see you again! Quick question. Before you begin a new season of DoD, does the team network with every establishment beforehand or do you approach them on the spot? Anyone ever deny to facilitate you, or have you ever spotted an interesting spot and added it to the program?

Best Pizza I have ever had, from a food truck, parked outside the Vatican. Looked exactly like the folded over type hes eating. It was so good, we changed our itinerary around to visit the Vatican again, the next day. I have never regretted missing the Colosseum one day in my life.

Italy is NOT like France. In Italy there is a lot of bad food especially pizza. This pizza didn't look too bad. Most of it is an awful interpretation of Chicago(square cut) and New York Pizza(slice. Too bad they do not make the stuff they invented anymore.

Did I miss something. Is he a vegetarian. He didn't order any meat on the pizza. Wanted to hear about the interaction of the Italian meats and the pizza. Zuchini? Come on. I'm very disappointed. 1 meat slice would have been more appropriate.

Hey Lucas love your videos. One question. What is your age. Seeing your face I would assume you're around late 20's but seeing your hair I would assume differently. But anyway much love. Keep on doing what you're doing.

Wow! I had a great time in Rome back in the 80s. The food including the atmosphere was totally a life-changing experience. Planning to revisit Italy again next year and definitely will stop here for some great pizza.
