I love the overcomplication and the thought of this. While I dislike salmon personally, you could certainly experiment around with other low temperature cooking things. And this might actually work on german beaches more than the sun cooker, which might work on like. 2-3 days a year: D at least it didn't when I built a sturdy one back in school.

As crazy this sounds, if you can avoid any sand on the plate this is super easy to do. You can also do this in a sink in a hotel room. The temperature should be around 130 degrees but really for salmon and the asparagus its not that critical. Now if we can be shown how to make ice cream then life is complete!

Looks good, great idea, but you gotta eat that thing like it's going to be tasty. C'mon, that bite of salmon you took was a sign to me that it was was nasty. Can you take a smaller bite?

Word of caution: only use good quality freezer ziploc or vacuum sealed bags when attempting to sous vide. Low quality sandwich bags could become toxic and leak into your food.

Cliff do you have an hacks for ways to improve bringing a bagged lunch to work? And/or better ways to do office lunch than a microwave? I hate microwaving food for lunch.

Cliff: cook good food with no gadgets using sand and plastic bags, it's fun! Ester: haha I can't get this gadget to work but it's great, buy it for your restaurant!
