McKenzies off Elysian Fields giving hem a huge run for their money! The wing shack up the street which is a black owned and operated company is definitely giving them a run for their money as well, just ask Lenny Kravitz who always hits up wing shack when he comes home. If yall goin do hidden gems in New Orleans hit better restaurants that meet health standards better than Manchu. Just my two cents.

This is a popular and rare place in New Orleans because everything and New Orleans is spice, spice, spice. but in other cities like New York and Philadelphia There's a Chinese store that sells chicken wings flavored like that everywhere. I mean literally every other Block in Philadelphia you can get it chicken wings like that at a Chinese store.

If you go to any party thrown by black people in New Orleans, you can bet on Manchu being on the menu! I could eat their wings everyday. If I ever end up on death row, this would be my last meal and Id die in eternal bliss.

I'm confused why a local wasn't involved in this. Yep, I like the Norwegian but so many locals could have showed him the way or explained why and how he ended up in Treme.

New Orleans used to be French, the French colonized Vietnam. New Orleans and Louisiana has lots of fishing and Vietnam have like the whole county is coastline. Same Same

Why is the show called Eater when more than half of the episode is focused on dude talking about surviving as a minority in the hood, rather than the chicken wings.

Manchu chicken ain't no joke. I remember when we would spend forever in line for 100 pieces for a party. A NOLA staple that I've been going to my whole life.
