That is like the built in vcr/dvd combo with the TV. It's all good until one of them breaks, you know they're never gonna go out at the same time! So then you have the old wood sitting there on the counter because for as much as it cost you don't wanna throw away the functioning half of it. So then you go buy a separate 1 which (would be the 1 that died) Then you're thinking you should I got the 2 separate ones. And now you're unsure what to do as the decision to make to buy a new combo unit or buy a new single unit? That's too much brain power on most days! And don't forget you want an extended warranty! LOL

That thing is just a 200 gimmick that will end up stuffed in a closet somewhere. You're paying for a bunch of digital gimmickry that a less the 50 glass bowl convection oven can do just as well, if not better. The convection oven browns the chicken all over. Not just on top. I roast a chicken so it tastes like a roasted chicken, not like a boiled chicken with sunburn on top. Did you consider how un-serviceable that thing is. When it breaks, you're out 200 all at once. If you want pressure cooked meat, buy a pressure cooker. It will last for decades, unlike that Ninja cooker.

I have been using mine for over a year and I must say, IT IS THE GREATEST GADGET I HAVE EVER BOUGHT! It makes the best jasmine rice, pot roast, chicken nuggets (for the kids, wink, chicken wings, ribs, fried rice, chili, HARD BOILED EGGS (yes the best I have ever made, the list goes on. I have put mine through the ringer with every recipe on purpose to see what it can do, it can do it all. Say goodbye to a crock pot that takes 8 hours when you get the same results in 1 or less. I am not part of their company, just a big fan!

I'd just buy a Costco chicken for 5 and I can eat 40 of them to break even with the cooker. Then when you add in the cost of the actual raw chicken too, I'd have to eat a Costco chicken once per week for over a year to break even. I don't even eat that much roast chicken so this ain't gonna work. Not to mention that an Insta-Pot is super versatile and can make anything, including yogurt, and I can use the air fryer to air fry pies, and I might as well go with 2 gadgets instead of this one huge monstrosity.

This is not an objective or thorough test at all. The roasting of a modern chicken can be achieved by any hot oven, e. g. a halo oven. This is advertising dressed up as a neutral review. The device has been done nothing but apply heat to a month old broiler. Even a microwave with a grill function can achieve this, a tender, juicy chicken breast. Surprising? Hardly, when the bird has been pumped up with water after it has been killed. This video is blatant hype.

I have watched several You Tube shows on cooking a roasted chicken in the Ninja Foodi. In addition i read my manual. Every show used a different time in the pressure cooker from 15 to 22 minutes. One You Tube show which pressure cooked 15 minutes said chicken was not cooked to temperature. I wish there was a chart to assist by showing minutes per pound. I guess I experiment tonight.

Does anyone have info on whether the aromatics/honey-lemon flavours translated at all from the 'steam' into the chicken? I don't think she mentioned that at the end. I think this show generally gets more hate than it deserves, but I feel like this is one of those times when all the questions asked at the beginning weren't answered: /

Why would you put oil on a wet chicken? Are you that basic? Don't you realize that water is not your friend when you want crispy skin. Ugh. Esther choi. Come on. This is cooking 101. And i didn't go to culinary school. Not being a hater, Just saying if you're gonna review a product as a chef. Act like on that knows the basics.

If you're the kind of person who cooks for large crowds then maybe getting both would be better so that you have two things cooking at once. If you're the kind of person who wants it all then maybe get this? Or maybe the extra cost can count towards reducing space. For people who use these devices religiously, I'd just get both.

Mr.
I stopped roasting whole chickens. Instead, I now use the spatchcocking method and I use a cast iron skillet. Takes about the same amount of time and the results are awesome. That being said, if and when my current pressure cooker dies, I would consider the Ninja foodi. Hopefully, it won't be obsolete unlike the latest smartphone
