This crispy on the outside, soft in the middle, Italian meat and cheese stuffed loaf is a party waiting to happen. Festive doesnt even begin to describe this visually stunning loaf. Use the easy technique as shown, or switch up the ingredients to create your own personalized party bread. Matthew Lawton: So delicious. You are the Judge Dredd of my party bread. Edit: Chef John. I actually have a question for you concerning this recipe I have it on reasonably good authority that those pre-made pizza doughs need to be left to rise in a warm spot, despite being already made. I typically do this and it's improved the texture of my pizzas considerably Does this apply here or do we NOT want to let this rise a second time?

I was delighted to find out that what at first appeared to be a day-old broiled cabbage leaf turned out to be something I'm now craving. Taking a jar of last summer's pesto out of the freezer and heading to Trader Moe's for ingredients thanks Chef John P'S. If your roof is leaking, join us natives. Sometimes they stop after the first couple of rains if not you'll make some roofer's Christmas merry or Easter.

Chef john, i like the ingredients & this looks delicious. The form is odd, it reminds me of looking at an amoeba through a microscope in biology class, lol, i never thought i would be hungry for an italian amoeba, lol. p. s. i think some fresh grated parm reggiano over the finished product would be great, while it is still warm so it melts a little.

I guess an American version of this would have barbecue sauce, cheddar cheese, bacon, whole kernel corn, and maybe some slices of pickled banana peppers. I would prefer a version with pesto, goat cheese, portabella mushroom, sun-dried tomatoes, fresh basil, and a drizzle of reduced balsamic vinegar after it comes out of the oven.

A middle eastern version would be delicious too Or turkey with leftovers from Thanksgiving. How about a vegan one for your ultra healthy friends. Id have to include some dipping sauce for each also. A garlic sauce for ME version, some gravy for the turkey and hummus for the vegans. This has endless possibilities.

Wow that looks so hard to keep together but im sure it doesn't matter. Id love to try this with some good pepperonis or salami. I have worked at several delis and bakeries, high end, amd this woyld have made an absolutely perfect addition to any of them

Wife: why are there four loaves of bread cooling on the counter and flour all over the kitchen? Me: its Italian party bread. I learned it from Chef John. Wife: is this why you missed work today? Me: now you dont get any party bread.

Heroes can let you down. I learned that at 11 when Lou Brock snubbed my request for his autograph. So I vowed no more heroes. For 40+ years I had no heroes. Damn you, Chef John My vow of Hero Celibacy is over. You never let me down.

The part where you cut it into 3 strips, instead of the rolling pizza slicer you used why not use the type of 'rocker' pizza slicer knife that some places use to rapidly cut pizza into slices?
