Have done this 'feeling sick' 'quick as possible' chicken soup. Just quickly chopped whatever vegetables I had by putting through my vintage Sunbeam Little Oscar food processor (one of my favorite kitchen tools. Into a saucepan and added packet chicken stock, herbs as available, salt and pepper and simmered until veg cooked. Mixed in cut up cooked chicken with thin Chinese egg noodles that take 3 mins. When eating it felt as if it tasted delicious though my taste buds were probably blocked off. Good comfort food and nutritious

last time when I didn't have time/energy to make a soup, I just threw my celeriac(root, not sticks, carrot, leek and onion into a food processor and pulsed it a bit until I had kind of pea-sized pieces, then threw that into a pot with a bay leaf, water and some black pepper and salt, and boiled that for an hour or so, that's all. Of course you can add pasta/chicken to your liking.

Yeah, I set up the camera, set up the lights, just threw in some easy ingredients I had on hand, then spent 6 hours editing & rendering the video. All to save what, 12 minutes by using a different method. Ok. Whatever you say. I totally believe you. Why is it so difficult to just be honest?

Dear Chef John, I love your recipies but this is not a noodle soup, this is a broth/soup with rotini pasta added. If i ordered a noodle soup in a restaurant and got this i would leave. I am sorry for being negative, but i feel like i must correct you on this matter.

as always, i really enjoyed watching: ) I have a question though. After sauteing the onion, don't you think you could give the chicken some time in oil, to get more chicken flavor into the dish? :) Or what is that gonna do? Need ur oppinion on this

Chef John, when is the steak video coming? I know there's tons on YouTube but I feel that you're the only one I completely trust. Plus the like/dislike ratio is always horrendous on those videos. I wanna be the James Blake of my steak

that foam is a step in breaking aminos into the oily puddles you see later on. that is what makes the real soup. I have been making the same souper fast version for years. Leave the foamy soap looking stuff and wait.

I know I'm probably the classic Italian who can't stand to watch pasta raped. But please, just wait for it to boil before throw in the pasta. P. S. That pasta is called Fusilli (and it is my favorite type of pasta.
