Learn how to make a Zombie Meatloaf for Halloween Based on actual zombie research. Guy Spencer: I made this for dinner last night, yep Christmas eve. It was awesome, the best meat loaf I have ever made, which honestly does not set the bar very high. I had already been to the store once that day to pick up mushrooms and celery and was disappointed to find I didnt have any barbecue sauce, hot sauce or even ketchup, who doesnt have a bottle of ketchup? I was also well into my third cup of hot chocolate and schnapps, or maybe it was schnapps and hot chocolate, I get that one confused a lot, but I knew I wasnt going to be driving to any store for ketchup so I substituted deli mustard for the tomato based condiment and it worked out. Cooking is a lot like jazz, there is a bit of freedom inside that structure. Merry Christmas.

Never been a fan of Halloween foods shaped like scary things especially when they are meant to look gross. It always makes them seem less appetizing - which I get is kind of the point. But I never liked the idea of working hard to cook something when people wont want to eat it. Hurts my feelings enough when I unintentionally fail at cooking - so to do it on purpose is just crazy to me. However. This looks really good and I want to make this.

Made this last night. Turned out looking great. One different twist we did was to take a small cut from the flower end of a bell pepper with two humps and placed that in where the nose would be. It added an interesting look to the face with the small green pepper nose. We did cook the bacon a little crispier and it worked out great. Fun pre-Halloween dinner. Thanks for the idea.

I've always wondered if the opening line Hello This is Chef John from FoodWishes. com with: is a playback or does he records it anew with every video. The intonation of the phrase is (almost) identical in every video. I can't help but to wonder about that every time I hear it.

Chef John, you sir are a genius I ROFL'd. I think I even PMSL'd at least once. Probably twice. And (and, yes, I started a sentence with and) your viewer's comments were almost as hilarious. This is why I love you I will make this. Note to self: buy some cayenne.

I just watched this with my kids, we cried with laughter, that said they thought it looked delicious and want me to make a Santa version for Christmas lunch. Hmm - I guess my kids either have an awesome sense of humour or they need therapy: )

Chef John do you think there's anyway to adapt this to become a mummy meatloaf head with some type of dough Laden strips on the meatloaf do you think that some strips of puff pastry or phyllo dough or even just pie crust slices woodwork

I made this I gave it out to all the trick or treaters Not really. but I did make this and used turkey. It was pretty tasty. It's not Halloween until you're sucking meatloaf juice out of a zombies nasal cavity Happy Halloween Thanks chef John

I love your videos but has anyone ever told you that you end every sentence with an upward lilt as if it were a question? Either way I watch a ton of your videos and they help me all the time I was just curious if anyone else has noticed haha

I really like your videos but can you please stop with the high pitched part of your sentences. Every sentence is the same. I would rather you speak like a robot because I actually can't listen to you anymore
