Buffalo Chicken Dynamite Rice

This fast, fun, chicken and rice casserole was supposed to be a delicious tribute to the Buffalo Bills appearance in the Super Bowl, but due to circumstances beyond my control, that didn t work out as planned. The good news is, this was amazing, and I m really more of a Giants fan anyway. pistol: The problem with buffalo sauce and any other type of brand name sauces like bbq sauce, they're highly processed and full of additives. Louisiana hot sauce tastes like a mixture of vinegar, pepper and whatever else they mix with it. The taste is too strong.
Chef John, you're a great chef but this ain't it, sorry.

A layer of a semi-firm melting cheese like a mozzerella or a Queso Oaxaca on the top would take this from Dynamite to Small Thermonuclear Device. Like a Buffalo chicken version of Seafood Doria.
And yes. I'd still use the blue cheese too. Because why not?

What would be other sauces you could use for that chicken? I am short on good casserole-type dishes like this on my repertoire and this feels achievable, and I feel like it is a pretty flexible recipe. What would you suggest? Thanks for the vid!

start of boiling always made me wonder whether it means appearanse on little sporadic bubbles from time to time or the very start of full ongoing boiling where like bubbles are everywhere

I hate to question the legendary chef john. However, wouldn't cutting the thighs before cooking decrease cooking time and allow one to better season pre cook due to extra surface area?

Aww. already committed to making Foodwishes' Buffalo Chicken Dip which is gone before the game is over whenever I make it.
Will use some tips from here in there, though!

I've been trying to come up with a Super Bowl themed Valentine's Day lunch for the office staff. This needs to be one of the dishes I need to make for the office. Thank you!

Franks Red Hot Sauce all the way. I've been eating Frank's for about 35 years on everything from Tacos to Omelets.
Frank's has amazing flavor and not much heat.

This would be a great low carb meal if you substitute cauliflower rice for regular rice. I would even consider doing it with a rotisserie chicken. I'm lazy.

Never use a water to rice ratio when cooking rice. Use your finger. water above the rice layer at the bottom should come up to your first knuckle.

After finishing this video, I am thoroughly curious how much money Chef John put on the Buffalo Bills for the Super Bowl on his futures bet.

I miss the old high and low chef John. This one is kinda monotone. Is the REAL chef john tied up in a basement you imposter!

I don't know if I want to eat anything made in honor of the Buffalo Bills. I'd be too afraid of choking.
I'll see myself out, thanks.

Looks great, Chef John. But my tummy does not like hot spicy food. I'll have to pass. I don't eat Dynamite Sushi rolls, either.

I'm making this for Sundays super bowl party. I'm just going to substitute boneless chicken breast, I hope it's not too dry.
