Hey, Im from the region this dish originated from (south of turkey) and let me just say that this is inch perfect I showed it to my mom who is like a big momma type of mom; always cooking way too much and sooooooo delicious and she asked me to give props to Gordon Ramsey when I showed this video to her because he made this dish with 100% accuracy. Every single ingredient is authentic Turkish cuisine and my mom was blown away by the fact a Scot could make a traditional dish like this to perfection without having lived in turkey, ever. You really are the words greatest Mr Ramsey.

Ok, so people who are pissed comments, if you want your lamb koftas in a different way, you can. HE DIDNT ACTUALLY TELL YOU THAT HE WAS MAKING WHAT WAS TRADITIONAL OR ANYTHING AND THAT YOU HAVE TO FOLLOW HIM. Duh. If you want to, then go, if you dont, then dont. Making a big deal out of someones recipe. Hes a chef and common sense, if you cook something, youd want it the way you want it to taste, right? Thats why he did alterations.

I bet people complaining about Gordons Kofta and Hummus will say delicious if they actually taste the one made by Gordon. Hes a chef, he had an identity of his own twist in his food. chill out. if Gordon ever make gado-gado (indonesian food) like Ive never seen before, Im sure its gonna be delicious as well

You know what the problem is with Gordon Ramsey? He has no sense of reality for every day people. Take the hummus for instance. He added four ingredients at the end, just as a garnish. Just those ingredients are at least 10 to the total value of the dish. But other than that it looks delicious.

Delicious ingredients and poor execution. Koftas too thick to cook evenly. Burnt outside, raw inside. They need to be thinner. This is not burger, Gordon must know better that raw lamb fat is bad taste. Also the mix needs an egg and little bit of breadcrumbs to hold together.

Hummus is mashed chickpeas. Hummus is chickpeas in arabic, so saying beetroot hummus is like saying beetroot chickpeas. Oh and by the way thats kabab, a kofta or is spread meat with sliced tomatoes and tehina ) on top, and is cooked in the oven, not grilled
