Gordon demonstrates how to cook this simple rice dish. Multi Style: For those looking to actually make this, I am a student and parents always cooked me meals, I made this last night and let me tell you, it is a very simple dish to make and tasted absolutely amazing, what I did differently was I boiled the rice separately until it was cooked to my preference, once I finished making the sausage dish I added some of the cooked rice, mixed it together and it was beyond amazingAppreciate the likes and commentsEDIT: so saw a few comments about whats the difference with cooking the rice separately might be easy for some people but for someone new to cooking like myself, its super hard to tell how much rice to add, its very easy to overcook the rice or not putting enough rice. Yeah you might not get as much flavour as cooking the rice in the dish which allows the rice to absorb more flavour but the dish alone already has so much flavour doesnt bother me that the rice doesnt absorb it during the cooking process also side note, I did not use wine, just chicken stock

I got to try this. My wife likes to toss sausage, (green) bell peppers, and (white) onions. Ive tossed about the idea of adding rice. This is just perfect. Id like to see Gordon Ramsay review some of the recipes in the anime Food Wars. I wouldnt be surprised if some of those dishes are exaggerated, but it would be fun to see a professional chef go through the episodes, and the manga, and drill down exactly what the main character is doing, create it in the real world, see if it works as such in the real world, and look at how and why the recipe works, if it does, and break down if the show is as smart as its writers think it is. Kind of like when medical doctors would blog about House, M. D. when it was on TV.

Freaky i made a similar dish this morning from a family recipe- the difference was a 600g of canned tomatoes, mince meat, 1 green pepper, celery, 2 Spanish onions and 1cup of rice. Its amazing and thr best part? Only One cooking pot Less fuss (I use a very large nonstick frying pan with high sides and leave it to cook sealed in silver foil, stirring occasionaly. Google is spying on me

I followed this recipe last night and the rice never fully cooked. 45 minutes later and after many more cups of water and simmering the rice still never cooked fully. We had crunchy rice. Simmered that shit so long that all the peppers and onions disintegrated and werent even in the pan anymore.

Please help me Okay Ive tried this 2 times, its very good BUT, the rice will never cook fully. I do exactly what he does, I put 1 cup of brown rice and 2 cups of chicken stock. Why cant I get the rice fully cooked? Its always like 3/4 done and wont finish even after over an hour

Ill tell you what, when you start paying for the food in my pantry then you can go ahead and start wasting red pepper like that. But in my kitchen, that shit aint gonna fly. There was some red left on that pepper.

People are dumb. The rice gets cooked through the stock. Thats why there was barely any stock left by the end of the video. But excuse me. Im no expert compared to all these Michelin Starred Youtubers

I made this last night with a few alternatives such as replacing italian sausage with hot dogs and tomatoes for green peppers. Also adding a bit of season all and spanish rice instead of plain. Bomb.

Huh. This is rather inspirational since half that stuff is what I used to make fried rice to pair with sweet chorizo/longganisa. Cooking it together like that in stock sounds interesting.
