Great looking recipe. I love seeing good, new ideas for potatoes. The most versatile & historic veggie ever. Every expert cook knows that the best oven is Electric for it's 'dry heat' roastability. The best stovetop is Gas for it's instantaneous adjustability. That is the perfect combination and you'll only find it in stores that cater to the high end. It's not at the typical, local, big-box such as Sears or Best Buy. You'd find it at a designer level-store that aren't located everywhere. As for these potatoes, summertime, & Miami; this recipe will be Purr-fect in the winter when the cold water actually doesn't come out of the tap at the same temperature as the hot water: )

People come here expecting the person posting a video knows what s/he is doing. So you pair a slippery potato with a dangerous mandolins blade then use your bare hands. Way to be irresponsible. Then your bowl is too small by half and you shake it to mix in only enough seasonings for 2 potatoes, not the 8-10 in your recipe. I'm sorry you're bearing the brunt of this but I'm getting tired of people thinking just because they have a camera and some free time they're suddenly experts. Next time prepare raw chicken with your bare hands and then slice fruit for dessert without washing your hands.

Loved these, which perked up our Christmas turkey leftovers tonight. I chose Maris Piper potatoes, a well-known roaster/fryer variety here in the UK, and used a big pastry bowl for ease of mixing, and fresh garlic rather than dried. I found them pretty quick and easy to prepare. The results looked great and tasted even better, so we'll certainly have them again.

WOW These are wonderful. We are potato freaks, and have not had a new recipe that we liked for a long time, and I am always looking. These are wonderful; I used russets. My husband thinks you should market them somehow Thank you This is our new go-to potato recipe. (Hubby is STILL talking about how good they are)

I used to do something like this except I layered the potato slices into a cast iron pan and just cooked it on the range. I think that I got the recipe from one called Potatoes-anna, ie. : based on Pollyanna. I wound up using the vegetable peeler to make the slices as thin as possible.

Your video is excellent, having the recipe/printable is wonderful, the background music is too distracting from your cooking efforts. use something soft and gentle or just the sounds of what you are doing would be great. I think I will try this recipe this weekend, thank you

I tried this just like you showed. It turned out really weird like it was under cooked inside but burnt and unchewable outside. When trying to cut, it just wouldnt do it and slid all over the place. I cooked more but it was getting weirder. I really wanted it to work

Glad to see fresh thyme, garlic powder noooo. Could use finger-ling potato so when you slice your finger in the potato mixture no one will know - use the guard. These are pomme Anna in a muffin tin-good idea.
