That looks to be so freaking good. I would be so happy for that to be on my table. I just never seem to have the luck in caramelizing the onions. They tend to burn a bit. It may be that I need to mix the Olive oil and butter to get it right. And do a bit more onions in the pan and mix them every 10 minutes.

I made this. And is it a way more time and love to bring to the onions then into the video. One hour is the minimum. The sweetness and taste of the onions is the best you ever had in your pot. I love you jamie. For this soup

turn your temp down a bit lower and move them around halfway through cooking just to make sure they aren't sticking to the bottom of the pan should help, other then that keep the lid on and it should be ok

Maybe you make them on too much heat? Or you should mix them more often? I live in a dorm and they have horrible ovens here, I tend to burn everything too. :( It's really hard to get the temperature right.

I wish we can get ahold of these whole episodes. I learned soooo much from Jamie Home. Helped me thru my divorce. Plus I learned to feed my daughter and I really well!

Or maybe you're not putting a lid on? Haven't tried it myself, but I constantly forget to lid things. The water just evaporates and it just leaves it frying.

I failed to understand. how is this different from French onion soup? The technique is exactly the same. although I'm not sure about glazed leek.
