Hey Jack, love the recipe! you made me possible to try making soda bread by using milk and lemon juice instead of buttermilk which is not available in Japan! I definitely try your recipe! BTY, your knife looks like Japanese knife to be used only for cutting fish. I love your free-minded, out of the box thinking like you do to peal ginger skin. Keep up your good work! Wanna see more of your video!

I love this! Pretty much everything about it. From the name being Jack (which is cool and fits) to it being a quick bread recipe and everything. I'll have to try this. More bread recipies would be awesome. Perhaps how to bake bread over an open fire? (Or with a pot in the fire) I know I would love to get a good tutorial on that.

Tips for anyone new to soda breads - if don't have a bread tin you can make the dough into a round, cut a cross on the top and bake on a floured baking sheet instead. Also if your think you crust is too hard, wrap the loaf in a clean tea towel as it cools.

Welcome Jack, I would never have thought of rhubarb, but love ginger too, might add a few pistachios! This I've got to try, and now I think I may give peach and ginger a try (a favorite combo of mine. Welcome aboard, you're positively delightful!

Amazing video! I tried this out and it worked out great. I only needed 220 ml of milk and i think the rhubarb can need a little more sugar since it's quite sour but that's only my personal taste: ) looking forward to more videos!

In the video you say 300 ml of milk, but in the recipe on your webiste it says 200 ml. which one is it? I'd love to try this one, but would like to get it somewhat right the first time, since it looks very simple to make: )

Thought you were great! So down to earth and use ingredients everyone has at home! As much as the other food tubers are entertaining, the recipes aren't always geared up for your bog standard British student!

Love this video to the max! And also Jack, you're really a good presenter. Ive never taste rhubarb before but it does look great. Keep on making more videos. Wishing a lot from you! All the best, Jack!

This is the first bread I made - it turned out quite well. Jack's book doesn't mention self raising flour though - just normal flour. Either way, it's a good recipe - and one I've used several times now.

Looks good. I work at a food bank in Oxford, also help at a local youth club. We are trying to teach the children healthy eating/cooking so this may be worth trying thanks
