You are such a love, Kerryann! It's so much fun watching you prepare things (even when I'm just rubbernecking without plans to cook) because your joy is kind of infectious. Thanks for this recipe, we made it tonight and liked it better than my old fishcake recipe which relied on too much flour to hold it together and at times could be a little gummy in the middle. We preferred your recipe for its flavor and texture because of the mashed potatoes and peas, and I'm sure it's better nutrition too. I do remember you as a spirited girl from the Ministry of Food, and it's great to see you making these videos and being so great with your kids.

Idk if anyome does but i rmb watching the tv show where jamie oliver formed a group of kids to start training to become chefs amd work at his restaurant fifteen. she used to struggle generally in life. but now, i didnt realize she even has kids and she looks like a great mother. I just wanted to put it out there! Good work Kerryann and keep it up! :)

Hi! Am very intrigued by your recipe -- I want to try it soon. But could I use fresh salmon instead? If so, what would I do with it first -- boil it? And also -- are the patties (esp if I'm using fresh salmon) freezer-friendly? Could I make them in advance and cook them some other day? Thanks so much!

I just made these fishcakes, but used frozen salmon (because that's what I had). They were delicious, I love the lemon cest in them. So did my son. We had them with a cold sauce made of mayonnaise, yoghurt, lemon juice, horseradish and chopped gherkins. Yummie: -D

I loved it! The little girl was soo cute! I think that she didnt like it! Kids are so original! As a kid i LOVED fish, so its hard for me to imagine how someone doesnt like fish! Hahahahaha! I am doing this tomorrow with tuna! :) thank you!

I'll veganize it by substituting the fish with mashed split peas, lentils, black beans, and organic sweet corn. And, I'll make the mashed potatoes with garlic and Earth Balance buttery spred. Thanks Kerryann for another great recipe!

I love how it's still quite healthy and cheap. Thanks for the recipe. I have to say in all the FRD videos I have seen, your kids seem the most comfortable in the kitchen. Good job in getting them cooking at such a a young age! :)

Now this is how you get kids involved in cooking! I have always struggled with making a great salmon croquette--I usually don't like the flavor. This might be the recipe I've been looking for! Thank you!

Just tried this with tuna and no peas and chives instead I used spring onions because I had nothing else on hand: D it was sooooo delicious - did only half of the recipe and I'm so full right now haha
