Veganized the recipe and it turned out gorgeous. Love to watch you cook to get inspired. Replacements were soft plums, vegan margerine, raw cane sugar, 5 Tsp flaxseed with 10Tbsp warm water, instead of self raising flour I used a mix of whole spelt flour and 1tsp baking powder, instead of ovamaltine I used cocoa, soy unsweetened yoghurt and instead of double cream I used oat cream (normally I would use fatty coconut milk. The toffee topping is the best. Thanks for the recipe: )

Wait. Is this Kerryann as in the Kerryann that was in that Jamie Oliver show when he gave some young people who were rudderless at the time a chance to learn to cook under him and his mentors? Then the ones that succeeded all the way had a job with him at his new restaurant. I think that's how it went. I'm wondering if this is one of the young ladies who were in that show.

I m stunned that there is no black treacle in the sauce! One trick to know: because the dates have been sitting in the boiling water and bicarbonate for 30 min. You can simply use a potato masher to press them into a rough paste. You don t need to dirty up a food processor. My advice is to not completely mash it into a paste but to leave it slightly chunky.

I could kiss you! You don't know what you have done. My little girl is allergic to nuts. And every ready made sticky toffee pudding has walnuts in them. Have I searched high and low for a recipe so that I could exclude nuts from it? Have I ever! You just made my little girl happy. Bless you!

Never EVER tasted any types of British puddings, but now I really need to! So, please help! What spices are in that ground mix spice? I'm in Norway & don't have your ground mix, i think. Also, if I don't have self-raising flower, what do I use instead? o. O

This looks like a brilliant dessert. I am gonna veganize it by using coconut milk in the toffee sauce and flax seeds and Earth Balance margarine. It will come out to less than 1. 00/ serving. Thanks! And looking good, Kerryann!

G'day KerriAnn Dunlop, Love your Videos and the extremely clear explanations that accompany them. One thing that intrigues me, is the number of dislikes that you seem to gather. I'm a Fan, so I just wondered why?

thanks so much. sounds really simple and yummy. am going to try it tomorrow. i couldnt really get the kind of sugar you have used in the toffee sauce. if its not available, can i use regular sugar?

Just made this and it was good. Cake was moist, syrup was not too sweet. Only thing I would add is a little bit of chopped dates to the batter to give the pudding a little more texture.

This looks absolutely scrumptious! But I don't think I would ever make this for myself. There is just too much calories and I know I will be tempted to eat 2 or more servings. Lol.
