I guess all around the world clams are prepared more or less the same way? I have a haunch I can prepare such a dish at home using Dutch mussels! Mussel Curry, not a bad idea! ;-)

great great dish Bart! just a quick question, won't the clams be filled with grit/sand since you can't wash them while they are closed and only open once they are cooked?

now im no expert by any means but. wouldn't it be easier and more safe to just keep the clams alive in sea water than shucking them risk them going bad? just curious.
