Sponsored by Bertolli Just a handful of ingredients yet Gennaro s simple pasta dish is full of Italian flavour. Almonds and basil form the basis of a pesto sauce that s tossed through pasta with roasted aubergines, Bertolli and grated parmesan. Delicious. Sponsored by Bertolli. i have a pesto and mortar and unless you have small kids or need to make large amounts of stuff(they eat mushed up food most of the time) i really don't think you need a food processor which costs heaps more than a pesto and mortar. you can also get a large mortar for large quantities

These roasted Aubergines are really great. Instead of Almonds i have roasted Walnuts with garlic and little chili in a pan. Than added The tomatoes with butter. At the end the aubergine paste, basil, pecorino and pasta water. Another great gennaro dish with lots of flavour.

Jamie hates chickensfeet, because he sees what they walk in, but he likes pigs trotters? Sausages are made with the stuff where poop lives before it exits. Blood pudding is made with. blood! And root vegetables grow in DIRT! Possibly fertilized with chicken poop.

Of course there's product placement. It's sponsored by Bertolli. Product placement or not, his recipes are incredible! I've tried a few of them, and they're basically very simple, so even a rookie like myself can make delicious dishes! Thank you Gennaro!

I think this is the only way to make Aubergines edible. Even so, I am not a fan of what they did for this pesto, I d much rather eat the normal sort of basil pesto he makes in this very video rather than mix it with the aubergine.

I love listening to Gennaro my Nona was from Italy, but lived in the UK for half of her life and she had that same sweet italian/british accent going on she's passed on and it's a nice sound to hear again. :-)

I hate when chefs use ingredients for paid advertisements, when they would not usually use it! It s so annoying! Really respected Generro. but after this. he s just one of those sheep!
