Today I'm going to show you how to make fermented soybean paste soup (doenjangguk, or ) with spinach and clams. san: You cook like a professionally trained chef, but I feel like you are a professional home cook. which is better. Nothing you do is overly complicated. Maybe because Korean is so simple when you use the ready-made sauces. Many ingredients and recipes are preserved and have a longer shelf-life, but are still mixed with fresh ingredients. I grew up cooking Italian with my grandmother and Aunts from Italy. But I also loved/learned to cook Thai, Indian, Persian, Mexican and Brazilian. I learned to cook Korean for my wife. She loves it. I am surprised at how simple, healthy, and tasty it is. Maybe it is just how you explain it. it is easy to understand.
Either way, thank you for the easy to understand videos.

just wanted to give a feedback to whoever is watching this video and reading my comment, I love love the recipe! Did it without the seafood, only the beef and some vegetables, turned out so amazing! Everybody loved my soup! Thank you Maangchi for the recipe, now I know how to easily cook korean food during this hard time of Covid-19 at home!

Hello Maangchi, I was wondering if Korean people also make any type of sea vegetables kimchi? Like is there anything like Miyeok Kimchi? Anyway, thank you very much, I have learned a lot about Korean cooking culture!

Hi Maangchi, been learning a lot through your wonderful videos, I am so curious if you also have more interesting recipe for a bitter gourd, does korean eat like it? Thank you in advance!

I blend chilies and soak into the bowl of clams. this will help them to split out sand easily in 5 mins. stir it around that time then clean no smells.
