Not to be rude, but if you are a busy mom stop by Wendy’s on your way home and buy their chili, pour in a casserole. Box of jiffy cornbread prepared as on the box with a can of green chilis mixed in, pour over chili, bake as directed on the box, sprinkle with cheese if desired. Just so easy and amazing

Great combo! I want to make my own cornbread, I don't like sugar in my salted food, I want a plain salted cornbread. Sadly, all the mixes come with sugar added. To make a low carb chilli, I replace the beans with chopped cauliflower and mushrooms, never a sweet ingredient. Delicious!

Is there some sort of preprogrammed calendar in Latina moms' heads You would not believe how many times you've posted a recipe for something we had JUST been talking about making. We were just talking about making this caserole this weekend!

The inside of your beef was brown. This is oxidation. The meat was then covered with fresh meat. People return your meat to the store when you find the beef is old and then encapsulated with fresh meat. Show it to customer service.

I've made a couple versions of this, and it's one of our favorite dishes. This recipe looks like a better one than I've used before. Now I know what I'm making with the ground beef that I took out of the freezer a few minutes ago.

Hi i know you don't make low sodium meals but i was just wondering if you could make so think that is low in sodium i can only take in 1300 mg of sodium a day and i just don't know what to make i would appreciate.

This sounds so tasty! I’ve got to get the ingredients so I can give this a go. I really enjoy your recipes and your videos. I just recently discovered you so I am making up for lost time binge watching you!

I make a very similar cornbread topped chili. I DO add diced onions and jalapenos, as well as half a cup of frozen corn to the cornbread batter before baking. That being said, I bet I'd love your version too

Maybe in the future, you could do the thin layer for the chili when you bake it and make an additional pan of cornbread that is thicker for the rest of your family, that way everyone kind of gets what they want.

I made this but messed up the cornbread part. I tried cutting it in half like you said. Ended up confused and didn't turn out. The chili part was good. But I think I'll make a different cornbread next time.

This looks great and hooray for chipotle! I thought I was the only one to do that! Have you thought about cornbread waffles My family loves them and they’re perfect for company too!

We had your carne guisada today. I wonder about shredding the leftover meat and pouring a cornbread mixture over the top of it and the gravy. I think it might just be delicious.

Thanks for that I'm moving soon so I'm using up everything in the pantry. Canned turkey chili beans and Jiffy cornbread. Less for me to move to the new place

I agree with you on the ranch style beans. Never understood why they were a dollar more until I tasted them. Good choice!

This should be tasty, it remains me of the taco pie or tamale recipe i do quite often during the winter season. Yummy

I love how forgiving your cornbread is. A lot of recipes won't tolerate doubling halfway through! Looks great. Thank you.

Making this a long way away in South Africa. Yummy. Glad you gave the corn bread recipe as we don't get the box here.
