I decided to make dark chocolate cupcakes for my family and thought I'd share the recipe. I used Hershey's Special Dark Cocoa to give it that dark chocolate taste. This is also a great egg free chocolate cupcake recipe. You could also add a teaspoon of espresso powder to enhance the dark chocolate flavor.
INGREDIENTS FOR CUPCAKE
1 1/2 cup all purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp kosher salt (use 1/2 tsp or less if using a fine salt)
1/3 cup unsweetened dark cocoa powder or regular cocoa powder
Hershey's Special Dark Cocoa Powder
1/2 cup whole milk
1/2 cup sour cream
1 1/4 cup sugar (use only 1 cup of sugar if only using 1 cup milk)
1/3 cup canola or vegetable oil (melted butter can also be used)
1 tsp vanilla extract
GANACHE
1/2 cup heavy cream

8 oz semi-sweet chocolate
1/2 tbls unsalted butter
Simply: Hello all, I just wanted to make a correction. The ganache recipe in this video should be 1/2 cup of heavy cream and 8 oz (1 cup) of chocolate.
