This recipe is a quick and easy way to make Mexican rice. This recipe makes a dry restaurant-style rice. You can also substitute the tomato chicken bouillon with tomato sauce and a plain chicken bouillon. It all comes out delicious. This recipe makes a great side with Chicken Mole, enchiladas, carne guisada or Chiles Rellenos. wolfman011000: I make make my rice for egg fried rice in a similar way, Just alot more onion and several gloves crushed garlic 30 seconds before adding chicken stock with an added teaspoon of tumic. On a tray to cool and dry alittle in the fridge. I'll give your recipe a try and make some egg fried mexican rice as well. Hmmm in a wrap with some leftover meat, dam i am hungry now. I just found your videos, and I have to say I LOVE everything I ve seen so far! I wanted to know though, I had a friend many years ago make me these WONDERFUL tacos made from leftover beef roast, I do not know HOW to re create what she made! It s the BEST I ve ever had in my life! I do have the chicken bouillon and I also just bought a TON of tomato granules (I don t think it s chicken tomato though) I do remember her putting tomato bouillon in it, and possibly beef bouillon, not sure, I do not like green chilies or green bell peppers, could you kindly help me out here? Thanks in advance!

This is more or less how I have been making my rice for the last 40 years and mine also comes out very flaky. With the exception of 2 ingredients. I use fresh mashed garlic and I cut half an onion in half so I can scoop it out when I'm serving my grandkids. They love my rice but will not touch it if they see onions or anything else but rice.

I just ordered that tomato/chicken boullion cubes from ebay because I am in Sweden. I have got to try this recipe! Why do you cook your other rice recipe 18-20 mins but this one only 13-15 mins? I am really curious lol. I LOVE all of your recipes and have got to get crackin'! thank you enormously for putting these recipes up, darlin'.

Love love! Do you by any chance have a recipe for Chori pollo? It's my absolute favorite and the restaurant that I used to go to got a new owner and it's not the same. Just wanted to see if I could make it at home: )

Finally a recipe that works for me! All the other recipes have tomato sauce in them and well, I think it throws off the measurements with the water and the rice comes out too soggy for my liking.

Do you think after browning the rice you can transfer to a rice cooker to finish off the recipe? I dont have a lot of stove space and it would make things easier while im doing other things.

I got lost ingredients wise! My bad i could have used a text graphic for each individual ingredient when it was added on screen. Looks tasty though
