Wanted to ask if any issues with stacking these in a glass casserole dish to prepare ahead of time & reheat at dinner time? That would make this recipe so much more convenient for me but want to ensure the tortillas won t fall apart when reheating? 7: 12

I'll bet your house smells good ALL THE TIME! Your family is so lucky to have a mother who can cook. It really is a wonderful blessing. I also cook, but am always learning more and more. We must be a weird family from Michoacan. I am 73 and my abuela and mama never never used crema or sour cream which we call jocote. I always thought that was a California Mexican thang. LOL. I still do not like it on everything. But I do not like it scooped up with a hot corn tortilla with salt.

Those are like the New Mexico style enchiladas. usually only cheese & onions made with their famous Hatch chilies! There's one restaurant (Calif) that makes like this with an egg on top. yummy

Nice! I do something like this and call them Skillet Enchiladas I fold each one like a taco on the skillet.
This enchilada sauce is a keeper. So easy, so tasty and so affordable.

Growing up all I ate at home was stacked enchiladas, first time I saw a rolled enchilada was at a Mexican restaurant. Rolled or stacked you can beat a homemade enchilada. :)

This is how my sister does it. I showed her an easy way to do the tortillas. By doing one at a time instead of putting them in the oven and they all dry out.
