Here is an easy, budget-friendly dinner recipe that feeds four. Fried cabbage and cornbread is an easy meal and so good. Today I am adding hot sauce and honey for another level of flavor that is a game changer. Ingredients 2 lbs cabbage 1 lb bacon 1 medium onion 2 cloves of garlic 1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes 1 Tbsp Louisiana hot sauce 1 Tbsp honey salt and pepper to taste CORNBREAD Ingredients 1 pkg Jiffy cornbread mix 1 large egg 1/3 cup to 1/2 cup buttermilk 2 Tbsp chopped pickled jalape os 4 to 6 oz cheddar cheese of your choice 2 Tbsp softened butter for baking pan LaVerna: I will be making this hot honey fried cabbage! I actually have a bottle of hot honey and couldn't figure out where I was going to use it. So now I know where I am going to use it. Thank you so much for this recipe.

Haha! reading the banner. hot(ok, honey(looking better) fried(now we're talking) Cabbage. AARG! I just spent all day picking and shredding cabbage for kraut. Great timing Dave.

I already love this as I love fried cabbage. I fix haluska regularly. The only difference in the recipe is you add butter noodles. I ll have to try honey next time.
