This Will Make You Want A Grilled Cheese Sandwich Basic Grilled STXX: The best way to make a grilled cheese: use mayo instead of butter, this makes the crust more flakey and doesn't change the taste. Fry it hotter/faster and make the crust slightly crispier, on the second side turn the pan lower because the heat that's already in the pan will try it well but don't turn it too low normally medium low heat works best. Then cover with a pot lid, this will melt the cheese but don't keep it long enough to make the bread soggy. This works best for cheeses like cheddar or mixed cheeses like Monterey jack, and even gouda, add other ingredients like ham, diced jalapenos, or even hot Cheetos if you'd like but that's optional. Add them before you cook and keep the sandwich closed the whole time. Hot Cheetos may go stale if you cook them for too long. My method reduces how stale the Cheetos get if you choose to use them but also speeds up the process. Little more complicated while making it about half the time which is perfect for when you wanna sit down and watch a show or head out the door to work or school. Ezpz.

You all should should try this Grilled cheese recipe I absolutely love It s called a Pepperoni Grilled Cheese we butter bread with Garlic Spread and have four layers of mozzarella cheese and pepperoni so you guys want to put a slice of mozzarella cheese first and next you want to put 9 slices of pepperoni on top of the mozzarella so once you guys do that repeat that 3 more times then butter the last slice of bread with garlic spread and also be careful flipping it it s a big grilled cheese when your done grilling it put it in the microwave for 30 seconds or more or less it depends how powerful your microwave is so all the cheese melts evenly let me know if you guys try it and let me know what you think of it

melt butter in the pan first, prepare the bread and cheese. slam the sandwich into the pan. Add a slice of butter on top. Flip! Never try to coat the butter on the bread before frying. My x GF always tried to add cold butter to the bread and ended up ripping the bread. Then throwing it into the trash. I ask her, why is there so much ripped bread with butter in the trash? Answer: well the butter wouldn't spread. Then I thought her to make the sandwich first, then melt the butter in the pan then place the sandwich on top of the melted butter. she sad WOW I never thought of that. LOL True story!

I am lucky enough to already doing most of what you recommend. However additions are someting else. I like home-smoked old cheddar and gouda. i like cheese with chili con carne, cheese with pickled onion, green onion and jalapeno (genuflecting in your direction. I also like to add a little herbed cream cheese inside. Outside, especially with the simpler versions, I will put a generous smile of ketchup on one side of the plate. I will then add a thinner rim of hot sauce, Franks or any kind I have. and dip my sandwich halves in the red sauce mixture.

It's classic and tastes like nostalgia! My college's dining hall always serves a traditional American cheese grilled cheese but also an adult grilled cheese that has pesto, tomatoes, and a few different types of cheeses on it! It's delicious too! Don't forget the tomato soup to go with it! :) I'll definitely be trying a version of your recipe, just using gouda on sourdough though- I don't like the other cheese or having jalapenos on a sandwich: ) Thanks for sharing!

I never have patience for soft butter and room temperature cheese but it's certainly a nice head start when trying to get a grilled cheese to cook properly. I've never owned a cast iron skillet either. So let me get this straight. when you're done cooking all you do is wipe it with a paper towel? No soap or anything? It's just good to go even if you won't cook another thing in it for like a month?

Basic but good. A grilled cheese sandwich is basically melted cheese between 2 slices of bread. When you put something else in the sandwich, like meat of any kind, it's a type of cheese melt. For example. tuna melt means that you have tuna fish inside the grilled cheese sandwich. You can have a turkey melt which includes turkey meat. Spam melt has Spam meat.

Stumbled on this video by accident when I was verifying the steps for making GCS (this is not as typical food in our country as it is for you, my friend showed me it once and I recently saw it in one of the TV shows) and I immediately noticed your calm voice and non-forcing attitude - very pleasant first thing after waking up. Keep up the good work! :-)

I like how you fix your first grilled cheese sandwich where are you toast the two pieces of bread at the same time and then smash them together This has spit up the grill cheese making. Also I changed a lot of ways are used to do it such as I don t put butter in the pan Just butter on one side of the bread that made them easier to make to
