The CHIPPY TEA that broke the internet

Today I will recreate the chippy tea that went viral and broke the internet. This is my first time trying the combination of chip shop-style curry sauce, mushy peas, chips, and meat pie. I'll try any food. I'm a adventurous eater. I do not like any seafood that I've tried so far, cod shrimp shark lobster crab sushi and many more. ( also different versions of them) The meals i grew up eating are mostly southern style but mixed with African cuisine Asian ect. my husband is from Mexico. So we eat 75% Mexican style( my favorite) the rest is from every where ( I'm a military brat, and spouse of a Veteran) So I grew everywhere

That looked great, I like fish & chips and the peas looked like thick pea soup so that was interesting!
As a kid, I went to England, Carnaby Street, overnight bc I had to go to hospital as emergency off a plane traveling to Spain but never had fish & chips there bc I was too sick.
Maybe you can or would want to recreate this dish when you are looking for inspiration!
There s an Italian food that my dad ate that I hated and still hate as an Italian American, I hate tripe, but he liked hair bc he grew up with it. Not me!

Thank you so much for making this video! I LOVE peas, and sometimes putting things together doesn't sound appetizing at first, but before I condemn it, I give it a try, too. I am on a 1200 calorie diet right now, so I can't try it, but it sounds delicious! I have lost 131 pounds so far, and next week am going to give another Tik Toc recipe atry. Cottage Cheese Ice cream! Love your dishes.

Good on you for going the extra mile to seek & search to prove your point. An opinion is valued if you take the time to actually research & go that extra mile as you have done. Unfortunately We can t help the opinionated blabbermouths that sit anonymously behind a computer screen making cruel & unfair comments. Pretty sad the damage they manage to do, sometimes.

Mushy peas are a British thing. Nigella even keeps peas in her freezer so she can regularly make her mushy peas recipe. Chips and vinegar are the original version of our salt & vinegar potato chips. So, I don't see the problem people have with it.

What an honest and fair review. Looks like great hangover food. I hope i can find one in Maryland. I don't get why people could be turned off by this. I'm certain they've all had far worse created by thier own hands. Good stuff, my dear!

Oh. I forgot also there was an 80s boy band called Menudo. I don't think they were Mexican. Anyway, try brown gravy instead of curry sauce. BTW, Irn-Bru is like a cream soda taste maybe. Very popular in Scotland

Not sure what's wrong with that order. All the flavors work together. Unless you just can't stand peas, pickled veg, or soft meat pies. Maybe people are confused by the colloquial terms being used for the food?

I saw that guy s video before it went viral and thought it looked good. I love meat pies, French fries, curry, and peas so I feel like it would taste good especially after a night out

My go to is either fish, chips, mushy peas and curry or cheese and onion pie, chips peas and gravy. Both with bread and butter and a cup of tea. Northern England chippy tea!

This was fun, I'm glad you enjoyed the mushy peas! I'm from the UK, been in the US for 17 years. chips & curry sauce was my go-to order from the chippy - miss those flavors!

Ok so there was no recipe. There was however food I never knew existed. Now if it comes up we'll know chippy tea might be good. I'd probably try the mushy peas all on their own.

Mama, when you do it, it looks pretty good. When Mr. Dude did it, it looked like Shite. Good fish'n'chips are fantastic, always. Cheerio, mate!

That looks fabulous! Wish I had a chippie near me. Frankly, people who squeal with disgust over other people s food are just ignorant.

Looks great. My Choice is usually large Cod (Or chicken/mushroom pie, chips, mushy peas and gravy: ) maybe a pickle on the side

Malt vinegar on French fries are the bomb. Love meat pies. Grew up in Massachusetts and you never put ketchup on your fries.
