Mark, when you were speaking of how everyone eats everything on their plate. I believe the words you may have been searching for are a humbling experience.
I had such an experience years ago with my sister in law. She lives in a poor neighborhood in Tijuana. We had brought a van load of food and clothing for her family. One bag of the rice got a hole in it. Alicia picked up every last grain on the dirt road. Most people in America would most likely have just left them, since they had been in the dirt. But, she lives very frugally. Every grain if rice mattered. Their homes are made of old garage doors for their walls. It was always a humbling experience when we visited.
I have to say the food looked delicious. And, having Micah along shows children that kids can try other country's food.

So, since Madagascar was a French Colony, you can see their influence in the loafs of bread. I was surprised to see the rice porridge as a staple breakfast food. I love tongue, was it cow or goat or what I bet their coffee is good because they grow the beans there.
Swiss Army knife That pickled mango is gonna clean you out Ha ha. I love shopping at fresh markets in a foreign Country. I still don't know where you put all the food you can eat, you must have hollow legs The fresh seafood all looked amazing. Your guide Coco was cool as hell and a good friend for the video. The fish marinade was A for grilling. Everything looked so amazing, thank you for sharing the experience. Your son is getting taller

Mark, watching you all these years, you have a wonderful, & kind heart. Even in the way you describe things, & your liking of them. When eating the tongue, I noticed it seems you didn’t like it too much. That’s perfectly ok! We can’t like everything! But rather than offend, or face that possibility, you still described in such a beautiful, delicious, & heart warming way that compliments the cook, dish, culture, country, & cuisine. That is what I love about you! However, don’t be afraid to say you don’t like something it’s ok, & you’re human!

I've been in Africa since 2017, and these monster Shrimps are my favorite foods along with big fish. Just know African peppers are extremely hot but the flavor makes you add to all your meals. I put them equal to Habenero's! But there us so much more, we eat a lot of things we grow on our farm. Most of Africa is sustanace existence and we trade for what we do not have. I retired here from America, and live a simple stress free healthy life. I walk 20 to 30 miles a month or more and I'm 70 now.

Seeing you genuinely appreciating every single food you tried brought me real joy! And these are our real food too, like every day dish Malagasy food with simple flavors but fresh ingredients. Your tour guides did great in providing you authentic local experience, a very refreshing take on Malagasy cuisine. Coco Tendakanina is hilarious

I think Madagascar food, the beef and the sea food I have seen so far looks by far the best of all places I have seen. For sure Madagascar is food heaven just a little bit more than all other beautiful destinations in this beautiful world!

I hope Micah is making a journal. I look forward to hearing his perspective when he is an adult about the rich cultural experiences he had with his parents traveling the world. So fun to watch.

What Mark does when he goes to Africa is that he shows the world that the Africa is more than animals. Over 52 countries, 1. 1 billion people, cultures n where humanity started. Great job Mark

Mark do you ever feel a little awkward in places where you're sort of treated like you're being prayed on by locals Not saying that's happening here, but you know what I mean

The man who grilled the fish and large shrimp, looks like he seasoned them perfectly, and a nice relaxing beach. The giant Baobab trees avenue is awesome.
