PHANG NGA, THAILAND - Phang Nga is a gorgeous province in southern Thailand, known for its pristine beaches, mountain scenery, and delicious southern Thai food. On this trip to Phang Nga, it was an honor to meet P Aey (, chef and owner of Khrua Nong restaurant, located specifically in Takua Pa (, Phang Nga. Here s the story: We were driving towards a beach area called Khao Lak one evening and we needed to quickly stop just for a fast dinner as my son and wife were hungry. We stopped at a small roadside southern Thai restaurant, and it happened to be Khrua Nong Restaurant (. The owner and chef knew us from watching our videos. And was we ate, I loved the food and his authenticity and hospitality. So I said, we need to come back, film a video of the food, and maybe go to the market to see P Aey shop for some of the seafood and ingredients he uses at his restaurant. Also, after eating there, I realized his restaurant was featured in the Thailand Michelin food guide. The next day we met up with P Aey at the market and bought some amazing fresh fish including a huge flat shaped jack fish and a big barracuda. The market was extremely friendly and loaded with all southern Thai ingredients. We then headed back to P Aey - Khrua Nong Restaurant ( ) ( ) to cook for lunch

Amazing video, food, fresh ingredients and CHEF! Unfortunately the provinces by the Atlantic ocean here in Canada are keeping restrictions to travel, our trip to beautiful Nova Scotia is canceled. I was dreaming to visit the fresh market and then cook fish and seafood just like the video.

Awesome video! Thank you for your dedication to continue to publish videos and delight your viewers despite the Covid travel ban. BTW, it is pronounced as Mi-she-lin (soft che. and Bib Gur-mand. As a hospitality executive for over 35 years. I should know how to pronounce simple things. lol.

Hey Mark your doing great and your wife needs to wait until you have finished the foods and then she can finish what left overs you have for her. She joining you while recording loses the professionalism. It's great you always have a smile on your face. Keep it up. #Mark

Oh wow! I would sometimes think how many small businesses has Mark helped in Thailand. He really made an impact in the food economy there. I traveled once to a place he visited and it didn't look like it in the video it seriously upgraded so much!

He's a very skilled chef! You should do a series where you work as a sous chef or at least do prep for service with some talented chefs. That would be awesome and you would recieve valuable mentoring for your own creative videos.
